I’ve not gotten my port, I paid for courier so I’m expecting them to bring it. As for flights Qatar airways has a direct flight to Liverpool from Lagos so that’s what I’m considering for now. Price currently 1.7

They will stop over at Doha, however it will be direct from Doha to Liverpool

I dunno what date you intend travelling. But usually they will stop at Doha. The flight time is usually longer. Takes about 6hrs plus to get to Doha. And Maybe 3 to 4 hrs layover then another 6 to 7hrs to get to the UK. Check out for Airpeace. That's the one I'm using. It was quite cheap when I booked it. About 1.2m. Which is direct to the Gatwick. 6hrs. I booked same for my wife too when she travelled.

This information might be helpful to those who needs it..
You are required to provide your ‘shareCode’ at the port of entry as a means of identification and proof of your Visa (e-visa) to the officer. I have gone through a few previous communication on this trend and I could see that most people don’t really understand the process or maybe it’s different for foreign students or Professionals applicants.
Please when you receive your e-Visa confirmation letter, go through it thoroughly and you might come across some personal unique codes.. those code are more like your ‘BRP number’ so when you are access the UKVI e-visa website and you are asked if you know your ‘BRP number or have created a UKVI ’ always answer YES to the question and where you are required to input, use those codes as your BRP number, your DOB and your phone number or email address to into your e-Visa personal details
Page where you can create a shareCode to provide to the office at the port of entry and also to your landlord and your employer too when you get to the UK. Just like I said, it might be different to every category of applications. I work with asylum and refugee team and this is how we get into their e-Visa page since the commence of e-Visa scheme in the UK. I hope this information is helpful to most people. Don’t sell yourself short of information as you willl only delay yourself at the port of entry. Those officers will not have the time to go through this with you or wait for you to do all this when you are at the airport. Just saying…. Maybe few might help but prepare for the worst and always be ready… I still repeat, the process might be different for every application. Kind regards 🙏🙏🙏

I submitted my application to UKVI on December 13th and haven't heard back yet. School starts Last resumption today the 20th January 2025, and they've asked me to defer to April. They say they'll withdraw my current CAS and that I won't need to reapply for a visa because they'll update the UKVI SMS portal and issue me another CAS.

I'm confused because I haven't received any information about this new CAS.

And please do you have idea why Application is taken longer

This sounds very strange, as, per UKVI, once your visa processing starts, your school cannot make changes to your CAS, or change the CAS itself.

Once your visa processing starts, the only action your school can take from then on out is withdraw the CAS, which will result in automatic visa refusal.

CAS cannot be changed mid-air!

You should really be happy that your school has the option of updating your CAS to the next intake so that you can now get a decision using the new CAS , unlike 95% percent of other schools who will withdraw the CAS entirely and ask you to start afresh. Better be happy!

I did my biometrics since 25th November and is yet to recieve a decision till now, my school resumes Jan 27th. Worse come to worst, I hope my school offers me an updated CAS for May intake so that I wouldn't have to start afresh.

My Agent said my school does this too for her students who experience VISA delays. So just relax and wait it out. You are lucky!!!

Please I need your sincere advise on this Cause my plan was to Apply together with her and go together but I have rethink that hope it won't reduce the visa Approval rate. And is there Anyone who has done it like that and got Approved.

Is this the NSF email?

We are unable to make a decision on your application within published visa processing times. For up-to-date information on processing times, visit https://www.gov.uk/government/collections/visa-processing-times

Do not UK Visa and Immigration, we will you if we require more information.

Please be assured that we will continue to progress your application to make a decision as soon as possible.
Your visa application may take longer to process, if for example:

• the information in your application is not accurate or requires further consideration
• you need to provide further evidence, for example evidence of funds
• your ing documents need to be verified
• you need to attend an interview
• further information is required on your personal circumstances (for example if you have a criminal conviction)
• UKVI is experiencing increased visa demand

I received this yesterday, I did bio on the 2nd.

@smartguru2 the mail is explained as an empty Non straight forward mail, you will have to wait for a new update about decision or required documents or interview.

Thank you.

I thought they said that an NSF is a bit different from this?

You can apply together but the dependant’s application will be put on hold until the visa decision is out for the main applicant as dependant can not go before main applicant.

Thanks so much for your response.
Instead I can first Apply for her, so once her visa is out I can just apply for mine, since mine will even be put on hold. Or one hers is Approved, it will be Approved together. Please I need clarification on that Sir

VISA ALERT!!!!!!
OMOOO, I GATS CHECK MY BP. I wait till 12:07 before sleeping every night. This mail went to sit in my junk since 12:07. It was my agents that informed me this morning ooo

Bio Dec. 2nd VI LAGOS

Nsf mail Dec. 3rd

Paid calls, dec 24, 27, 28. (They kept saying it was not yet 15 working days after nsf)

Escalated Jan 6

Nsf mail for additional documents Jan 14 (because of 10 years study gap )
I sent it Jan 15

RESUMPTION WAS YESTERDAY JAN 20. I was sad throughout yesterday, had to go clear my head somewhere

Success mail January 21 at 12:07 am

Latest day of resumption on my CAS is 27th January, next week Monday, if not omooo.

This journey ehn, but I am grateful for all the inputs from here.

My agents did all the processing so I can't really list all what they ed.

They didn't my work experience, employment letters and references at first, they said they'll still send nsf to demand for more. So when they asked for additional documents last week, we just sent them

My two employment letters
Reference letters from the 2 employers
My BSC. Certificate and transcript.

I pray all those waiting shall be favored

Oh, I forgot, I have one VISA refusal in July 2024, Schenghen tourist Visa. Reason been that, there is reasonable doubt I will return after expiration of my VISA. Guess I didn't submit enough ties
I am grateful oooo

Pearlcom:
I did biometrics on the 2nd Dec. Still hoping and Monday is my resumption (jan 20). They requested for additional documents of what I have been doing for over 10 years just this week after several paid calls. Don't know how long it usually takes to review that again. Had 1 previous tourist visa refusal too from shenghen. Maybe that is why they are doing all these. Wen is your own resumption?

Do you think it’s right to use a domiciliary pounds without any transaction for a visa application?
