Ahmad noted that he would only Kanu’s release if the separatist leader undergoes rehabilitation and renounces his derogatory views about Nigeria and its citizens.

Bashir Ahmad, the former Special Assistant on Digital Communication to ex-President, Muhammadu Buhari, stated that anyone advocating for the release of Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), should be regarded as an enemy of the nation.

In a statement posted on his X on Sunday, Ahmad described Kanu as a terrorist and labelled anyone advocating for his release as "a sworn enemy of this country."

Ahmad noted that he would only Kanu’s release if the separatist leader undergoes rehabilitation and renounces his derogatory views about Nigeria and its citizens.

“I can only advocate for his release when he is truly rehabilitated, so he stops seeing Nigeria as a zoo and the citizens as animals that deserve to be brutally killed,” Ahmad stated.

The IPOB leader has been in custody since his re-arrest in June 2021 on charges related to terrorism.

His continued detention has become a public debate, with some groups calling for his unconditional release to foster peace in the southeastern region.

Ahmad said, "Anybody advocating for the release of Nnamdi Kanu, a terrorist and the leader of the proscribed terrorist organisation IPOB, should be considered a sworn enemy of this country.”

"Trust me, I can also be an advocate for his release when he is truly rehabilitated, so that he stops seeing Nigeria as a zoo and we, the citizens, as animals that deserve to be brutally killed," he added.

Seriously, Nnamdi Kanu needs to go to a rehab or a therapy in prison before coming out. His toxicity is dangerous among humans.

I think Nnamdi Kanu should be executed.

Preferably by a noose till the breath is snuffed out of him.

The damage he has caused to the East, the deaths he has caused to his people and family, the disturbance to the polity, are not forgivable sins.

It's quite surprising when I see some Igbos on Nairaland asking for his release.

Short-sighted, parochial and easily manipulated folks.

Lol

It's ok if some people think Nnamdi Kanu should not be released, they are entitled to their opinion

My problem is that those same people are no where to be seen or heard when:

Boko haram are released.

killer herdsmen are offered ruga.

Armed bandits are granted amnesty.

Nnamdi Kanu has been in detention for almost 4 years, Nigeria has gotten worse on all indices since then. But people still think he is the problem?

You have a Nigeria that is not built on fairness, equity nor justice, but you expect a peaceful progressive country? How?

If your country was working, there would be no Nnamdi Kanu

But when Bokoharam founder, Yusuf was jailed, northerners were not calling for his release.

Fear of Balkannization of Nigeria is their beginning of Sorrow. No Fulani Northern parasites want Biafra and Oduduwa Republic to emerge from Nigeria.

Southern Resources are gonna be for Southerners in the long run. One step at a time.
Tax Reform bill
Pure Fiscal Federalism
Resources Endowment Control
Regionalism and State Police
Balkannization of Nigeria.

In sha Allahu....

Babablu bulabu. Anyone that s killing of anyone because of blasphemy is a terrorist.

Yusuf was killed same day he was captured. He was not sent to jail. How can you ask to free someone that is already dead?

Honestly speaking who ever call Nigeria a zoo is not mistaken,

That country is animal kingdom when you call it a zoo you still have some respect for it.

Better put: Terrorist sympathizer..

Let such people know that they're not so different from the Boko haram/ISWAP/ISIS/Hamas/Hezbollah/etc. As it is similar method and ideology with same end results; "we want sharia (boko/ISWAP/Taliban,etc)", "we want our own country (Hamas/Hezbollah/Taliban/IPOB)"...

But "repentant" Boko Haram can be reintegrated into the society and even sent abroad and those who make it possible are big time lovers of Nigeria!.

He’s very correct and don’t mention Sunday Igboho because never did Sunday Igboho call for destruction, killing and burning of public property

If Kanu is not guilty he should stand trial instead of frustrating his own trial. The evidences are numerous and he will rot in jail

He called for the killing of Yorubas and Fulanis and he also instigated destruction during EndSARS which started out peacefully

The evidences are numerous and by the way HAPPY STAY AT HOME MONDAY
