Any Ikwerre person who is not identifying as Igbo is no different than a transgender. While transgenders are suffering from gender dysphoria, such Ikwerre person is battling with ethnic dysphoria.

Maxcollins042: Wike was an Igbo man until he committed genocide in Obiigbo against his own people over end sars protest don nationwide. It was after that, when Dele Momodu was questioning him that he ed that he was not an Igbo man. That single incident dented his political image in the whole Rivers state. How can a man who because of his personal ambition to be president sacrificed his own people to gain favour of Fulani? Ofcourse he will say he is not Igbo because he is not in good or standing with the Igbo people. Wike does not enjoy the good will of Ndiigbo even in Rivers state.

Bliss4Lyfe:Yoruba will face a serious crisis because of multi-religious there. There are almost equal numbers of Muslims and Christians (though, there are more moslims), and the presence of traditionalists is strong. But economically, it will move forward first mainly because Lagos is there. What a shame that it's only Yoruba you are obsessed with. If you don't read the challenges Yoruba will face, the above is another. Hope you are now OK knowing Yoruba's challenges. Chai. Your obsession with Yoruba will kill you las las. I don't even know you from anywhere, and you don't know where I am from. Honestly, you cannot last with this state you are. You are a time-bomb that is about to explode. I suggest you concern yourself with yourself and stop being a nuisance here and there. All eyes will be cleared after separation that if we had agreed to stay united, it would have been better. And people like you won't have other ethnics to insult anymore. And funny, you won't be prosperous because you prosper in attacking other ethnics. I hope you treat your disease before it's too late. 2 Likes |

Any area where the Monday sit-at-home order is not observed cannot be considered Igbo land. Since the sit-at-home order is not observed in Rivers State, it follows that Rivers State is not part of Igbo land. As a result, the Ikweres are not Igbo. Igbo people should stop imposing affiliations by force; it is unbecoming. The Ikweres have repeatedly stated that they do not identify as Igbo. Why is it so difficult for some people to respect their stance? If the Anioma, Ikwere, etc, claim they're not Igbo, why forcing 'Igboness' on them? Igbo, leave the Ikweres alone! 2 Likes |

Any Igbo person will always identify themselves. The Igbo tribe or ethnic group is in the following states; Abia, Anambra,Ebonyi,Enugu,Imo,and parts of Delta,Rivers and Benue States. In Rivers( etche, ikwerre people are Igbos, but the difference is their dialects. There are different dialects in Igbo language, the same as the Yoruba language (the Ibadan dialect is different from ijebu,Abeokuta,or ekiti dialects) |

diamond68: They wont be wrong if they say they are Brazilians cause thats their origin. But in this context, are you trying to say the igbos came out of ikwerre? Tbh, the way i see ikwerres and other igbos is the same way i see ijebus, egbas, ondos, ekitis. They are all yorubas but trust me, even some of them wont understand a thing another yoruba says despite being the same yorubas. Ikwere to me, is just a fragment of the igbo tribe. My gentle opinion tho 3 Likes |

Konquest: Only problem here is yoruba have no input and no business here. Bini have yoruba invaders like the Oba of Bini but the Bini people are not yorubas. Are Esan yoruba? Itsekiri are mixed and land dot around Ijaw settlement, how do u separate them? Ikwerre are full blooded Igbo people without any question.

Bede2u:Yeah! Soon you'll say Nigerians are English because we speak English. Brazilians are not Portuguese. The speak the Portuguese language but majority are called Indians. Language is just a communication tools most time promoted by trade, war and religion. The superior language becomes that which the conqueror speaks 1 Like |

Enice:Language is the most important aspect of culture. Igbos never conquered Ikwere. Unlike English spoken in nigeria because England colonised us, Igbo is spoken in Ikwere as mother tongue. Portugal established a settler colony in Brazil. Majority of white Brazilians have Portuguese ancestors. Stop arguing like a kid, before I treat you like one |

pinkyruledworld:I just think several cultures over time has coalesced under the umbrella of Ikwere by virtue of habitation and interaction. But to study a man like wike ? He has the spirit of a Bini man. Look at every politician in the history of Igboland ? They tend to carry themself with a little bit of dignity and they don’t talk too much or get drunk. Then there is loud mouth brash wike who enjoys 40 year old whisky ? That is a south south man to the core. There is absolutely nothing Igbo about Nyesom. He is a loud mouth drunk from bini 😆😆😆😆 3 Likes |

Enice(m): 10:14am On Jan 20 |
Bede2u:Maybe you should comprehend before replying a poser. I said trade, war or religion. So because Portugal established a settler colony in Brazil, the indigenous people are now Portuguese! Clap for yourself. Also , Igbo is not spoken in ikwerre as a mother tongue! Lie! Soon you'll call English a mother tongue in Nigeria 1 Like |
