The horrific petrol tanker explosion that occurred yesterday at Dikko Junction, Niger State, claiming the lives of at least 80 people and injuring many more, is a devastating tragedy that demands immediate attention and action.

This incident is a grim reminder of the risks Nigerians take to survive and highlights the poor state of our road infrastructure and inadequate vehicle maintenance, which together contribute to such accidents.

Addressing these systemic issues is essential to prevent further tragedies and ensure the safety of all citizens.

My thoughts and prayers are with the Niger State government, the victims, their families, and the entire community affected by this terrible loss.

COMRADES, those in authority should strife hard to end severe hardship/ acute poverty in the land, because one thing I've deciphered in the incident is that; a hungry man is ever ready to take any risk at the detriment of his survival
Ignorance was not the cause of this incident
Illiteracy was not the cause either
Acute poverty and hunger were the causes of this unfortunate incident
May God save us
RIP to the departed souls

While poor road infrastructure and vehicle maintenance are contributing factors, the tragic deaths in the Dikko Junction tanker explosion also highlight a dangerous habit among Nigerians—scooping fuel from fallen tankers. This reckless behavior puts lives at risk, and despite numerous accidents and warnings, people continue to take these life-threatening actions.

Quite an unfortunate event and also to a large extent avoidable

Like the fireman dat die

U ar standing ontop of a burning tanker laden with fuel, that is all sort of wrong and reckless

In discharging your duties be street wise

Then the other casualties

Tanker is on fire and you gather all around it, for what exactly?

Almost like they are not aware of the Rico effects that comes with a burning tanker

Sad

Any company whose load spills over and causes havoc especially lives should be sued and fined, it's only Nigeria where there's no class action suit except they want to intimidate average Nigerian

If the road is bad, sue government, if tanker driver is reckless sue company, make them pay through their noses

And for Nigerians that went there to scoop fuel in the name of poverty in the land, those ones committed suicide

We need to start taking these things seriously

But then when I think of it, your supreme court judges said forfeiture of 400k usd is not evidence of crime

Having another country's port as a president of Nigeria is not a crime either

How many times have Nigerians been warned about scooping petrol from a fallen truck. I am very sure that if another truck falls tomorrow, Nigerians will still go to scoop...desperation at its peak.

Even the swine that pasted the comment, what did he say about the deaths?
Must we sectionalize everything?
If he is actually in a sober mood over the tragic loss of lives, he won't repost what his fellow fool posted.

God will punish your entire family starting from that walking pig you call your father.

Untimely death will visit your family. Your mother will borrow money and sell her wrapper to bury you. You will die shameless and penniless, people will be ashamed to identify with you. You will be repulsive to your helpers. Bad luck will follow your entire family.

What's the difference between you and the former - who wrote that disturbing words against those that died in the fire inferno?

Hunger is one thing and Death is another thing , one must not because of finding something to eat and play with highly inflammable Liquid substance that can cause ones death.
Person needs to be very careful

Yes, it will still happen. It's not going to stop until you advise the populace on the dangers of scooping fuel from a falling fuel tanker.

Judges know more than me but we are using the same constitution that they are supposed to be defending? Will the world ever run out of idiots one day?

SC judges back then we're defending your constitution, this last election, they didn't bother to recount, INEC locked iRev, inec locked s to prevent them from compiling, inec blocked access to iRev. But that's after election, I was talking about the very beginning of nomination, someone who holds another country's port should never run, it's a universal rule, someone who had committed crimes that included forfeiture or whatnot is barred by your constitution automatically

You knew that but you have to defend your Fraudulent president

Why won't you use Reno as reference all of you know your favorites and you follow them like the slaves you are

Also it will always be funny to me because another daft clown said similar thing about supreme court and Peter OBI, PDP was Incumbent president, and as the first democratic president, I believe rule of law was respected
I don't see how Peter Obi could have bribed his way into governorship twice!! Do you fools even think? Court checked all docs, recounted votes and did everything under the law

Fraudnubu's candidacy was already marred with inconsistencies and fraud, but the worst part is inec prevented forensic experts both foreign and local from accessing their servers and thy refused to release the paper copy too, then your SC judges nailed the coffin

You are very sure that I wasn't born in 2006 but my nairaland was created

I bet that how you concluded that your SC and their judges are very innocent and Reno Omotheifri is a super hero
