Tinubu should not release him. The court should do it jon expressly. Why continuous adjournment over long periods of time?

AntiZikist: He said what was Kanu doing in jail for 1 full year after the appeal court had freed him before the supreme court that said the case must continue (1 year later). I guess that's the area you need to provide answer for if you have the answer. We learn every day 1 Like |

PulaPower:Has it any legal backing? You are intelligent enough to know this. Not blurred by sentiment. Are you enjoying Nigeria bespoiled by insurgency, injustices, ethnic prejudices and mistrust? Why not find root cause of these problems and stem it? The President has all what it takes to handle them but lacks the political will to do so. If releasing him will bring succour to the people of the region, Why the delay? Why allowing legal lacuna to interpose in the matter? We are not serious to build enduring nationhood.😭 1 Like |

gidgiddy:Don't blame Nigeria but blame nnamdi Azikiwe for what ever problem that Igbo is ing through in Nigeria, both Awolowo ahmadu bello were not in of one Nigeria from the onset,it was zik that was eager for one Nigeria even when Awolowo was canvassing for means for secession to be included in the the constitution,he vehemently opposed it.when u dig a pit for someone else to fall in,don't make it too deep in case u mistakenly fall into your pit. 4 Likes 1 Share |

Already Unity beggers association region are already angry with him. If you ask them to name one thing they have benefited from the one Nigeria fraud, they begin to shift from pillar to post and would not go straight to the fact that it's because of their penchant to leech on other industrious regions which they still can't use to take away beggers off their streets. This is just a reminder to them that Nigeria will continue to retrogress until those who are not willing to be in it exit it. It's not a prayer, it's a fact which has proved itself since 1960. Everyone can continue wasting time, wishing Nigeria to be like U.S but it will never go close to it until all the pretences are over |

gidgiddy:if he is convicted at the appeal court, it is good for him to appeal that judgement for a period of 30 days i think, if no appeal then that judgement becomes a law. i think thats where kanu is challenging any lawyer to come for any precedent of such. FG should have apeal within the stipulated legal window but you know when something is involving national security, supreme court has the right to intervene and place public interest first. |

gidgiddy: I think you are missing the issue, two separate cases. 1. Federal government case against NK 2. NK case against his rendition. Now, even if the supreme Court granted him leave on case no 2, he can't be released because case no 1 is not contingent on case no 2. The issue is NK doesn't want to be prosecuted on case no 1, so this story of being acquitted is developed to gain public sympathy. He can stop dancing around and face the charges and get a verdict. It will be difficult for any president to release him after his last outburst. 1 Like 1 Share |

gidgiddy: Do NOT mind anyone who believes in the so-called One Nigeria, especially an Igbo man. It's nothing but an illusion meant to deceive the naive and gullible while the Fulanis take over and enslave every other indigenous person. If any person who can reason with his brain does NOT see the evil plan by the Fulanis to take over the country, then the person does NOT deserve to live! Imagine, an ethnic group that produces absolutely nothing but is in total control of every resource that comes from Biafra land. Show me anybody from the EAST that owns an oil well. They quickly tell you that the oil from Bayelsa belongs to them but the gold from Zamfara belongs to only Zamfara. How STUPID can anyone from the EAST be? Wake up people before it's too late! |
gidgiddy: 4:04pm On Jan 17 |
sparko1: What are you talking about? The case of rendition is a civil matter. The Appeal Court ordered Nnamdi Kanu's release, the government went and asked the same court to suspend its decision while it appeals it decision at the Supreme court. What it means is that if a magistrate court determines that an accused person has no case to answer, and orders his release, the accused might spend years in detention as the government appeals from the high court, to court of appeal to Supreme court. How can someone spend years in detention, with court judgement for release, while another goes on appeal? What nonsense is that? That is madness |
gidgiddy: 4:14pm On Jan 17 |
soojar: Someone wins his case in court, you go to the same court and tell them to suspend the judgement and keep the person detained so you can spend a year appealing in the Supreme court Rarely have I heard of such judicial rascality |
