Apparently the people of the Middle belt who knew the Sardauna and felt the heat of his tyranny disagreed with those who tried to twist history and whitewash Ahmadu Bello as some saint. Patrick Anum is a well lettered and intellectually sound individual who is a popular voice for the middle belt people on X. https://x.com/patrickanum/status/1879796772307861999

Many would only jump at one-sided reports forgetting that the true story is there to read...but they prefer what others say. Nice one OP 9 Likes |

Observe how it's JUST one particular region that are so hell bent on gaslighting and goading the North into the Igbophobic rhetorics, go on X and see them chirping away stale propagandas to fuel emotions...thankfully the Middle belt have seen through their deceit.

My favorite thing about this talk of the 1960s is how the media tries to hide the fact that the problem that lead to the coup started in South West... Fight between Akintola and Awolowo Lmao 13 Likes 1 Share |

helinues: You claimed that they killed northerners. Northerners are calm over it, yet you are running mad about it. You guys are bending over backwards and leaving no stones unturned in your bid to see that Igbos have issues with your masters. You guys do the same with the S/S. S/S you hate deeply. You even fought against the only opportunity they have ever had to rule the country. You ed your masters/gods against an S/S man. Despicable. 5 Likes 1 Share |

helinues:As you can see, they are trying to justify the murder of the Sarduna. They will tell you Akintola was killed because he was responsible for the crisis in the then western Region and defend kllling Okotiebo for being corrupt . But what of the PM? Why did they kill him? Or what of the non Ibo officers in the army ? Where they also corrupt, tyrannical and pushing an ethnic religious agenda ? 2 Likes |

helinues: There has not been justice for those murdered in cold blood by the cowardly and foolish coup plotters and that is why this country is where it is today. Gowon , in his quest for peace and reintegration through his "no Victor, no Vanquished" post war policy also is the reason they are claiming victims today and twisting history. If Gowon had arrested and had a Nurumberg styled open trial for those responsible for the coup and the war crimes they committed on hapless minority people caged in their Biafra, we won't be here. The few Biafran officers detained after the war never faced a court of law and were released a few years later. Nobody paid for the consequences of their actions and that is why they see themselves as victims and by victims , I mean only for losing a war of ethnic expansionism and dominance. 3 Likes |

helinues: One good thing about wars is that whether you're winning or losing, everyone is bound to suffer one way or the other. So fanning the embers of war through divisive comments will not do any one any good if it starts. 5 Likes 1 Share |
