Good evening everyone, pls guys I want to get a 5kva inverter system , my installer is giving me 3 m quotation plus installation with 7.5kva feleicity inverter . He said I should just get the 7.5kva felicity inveryer since I plan to use my A.c 1.5 inverter later on . That I will not regret it . This is what he is offering 8 s of 250 watts s 7.5 kva felicity inverter 2 tubular batteries 220amp luminous SMS charge controller .60amp Surge protector And after sales service for me . Pls solar gurus in the house . What’s your advise , I feel like it is too expensive, pls advise me . This is my load currently . 65inches smart tv lg Star link internet 1000 watts dvd lg players One reachable fan And small ox fan 8kg side loader washing machine .inverter One standing inverter fridge 3 energy bulbs. My target is 20 to 24 hours system . I will be waiting for your advise keenly . |

Did you say two tubular batteries, because Felicity 7.5kva cannot use just two batteries and more so why not 300W solar PV instead.

Hi, I'm new here and need guidance. I have 3 computers which I need to keep running 24/7 because I'm using them as a server cluster. I have purchased a 100amp pwm solar charge controller and I have two batteries which I can use for this project. Details of my load and batteries are below. 1. Raspberry pi 5 drawing 5 volts 4 amps 2. Raspberry pi zero 2w drawing 5 volts 2 amps 3. Mini ethernet switch drawing 5 volts 1 amp 4. One single 12 volts 90 ah lead acid battery 5. One single 3.2 volts 72 ah CalB LifePo4 battery. Those are the items i have on hand right now along with the 100 amp pwm charge controller. Please I need to know the right size of solar s that I can purchase and wire up which would be able to provide enough power to directly supply current to the three devices I have as loads above during the daytime and then be able to recharge any one of/both of the batteries I have to be able to power the loads during the night when the sun goes down. I am a complete novice in electrical matters but I am willing to learn. I do not have any cash right now to purchase an additional battery so I need to make do with the setup I have on hand right now and plan for an upgrade soon. I just have to purchase the right solar size and type to give me the juice I need to at least power my devices during the day and then I can depend on whatever my battery backup can give me at night for the time being. I am in Africa, we have good sunshine most of the day. All my devices arr rated at 5 volts max. I fear I bought an oversized pwm charge controller for my setup (100 amps) hence my worry that I might have to splurge on solar s to feed such a hungry controller. My humble questions are thus, can I use a lower rated solar with the 100 amp controller? Is there a minimum wattage of s that can be used on the 100 amp controller? Will it hurt the system if I under-feed the controller power from the s? I don't think I have the cash to buy anything more than a 150 watt at the moment but I desperately need this system up and running one way or the other. Thanks all. I appreciate your advice. |

Hello house 👋🏾 I have a problem with 8kva felicity inverter and my installer isn’t even coming to check it. It trips off load all the time. I bought 8 unit of 600W s, only 7 was connected, 1 was broken. At 100% capacity, it supposed to give me 4.2kW but I know that it’s not possible. I’d be receiving 3.5 - 4kW but I don’t get up to 500W total wattage from it. The 4 wet batteries are starplus products. Now it doesn’t work effectively except I connect it to NEPA, but I should not be on NEPA because I’m not paying for it. I was even disconnected from NEPA which is very much ok, my solar energy system is supposed to be sufficient for me without NEPA. The installer has refused to show up. What do you advise? I’m in Lagos, in case you suggest another experienced installer and you can share their with me. |

606thearena: Extremely wrong A 7.5 inverter should work with atleast 6 batteries Meaning each battery should produce 1kva And you will then need atleast Solar with combined energy production of 6.5.7kva production It means you need atleast 13 s of 500 watt each But I am very sure the setup cost us under 1.5 million hence the anyhow setup |
