There are other small cuts/ tax rises that could be made but Reeves is trying to play it safe but the people want major reform. People increasingly want something radical even if that is ultimately going to burn down the economy

I disagree with you too. Removing her citizenship when she had no other citizenship was illegal. The government will lose this case .
They should save taxpayer's money and do the right thing.

When you make this case to the British people, they will understand and it. They may hate her because of her interview but these are the facts of the case. Ours is a long tradition of upholding international law. We shouldn't break it now

Read the FAQs, especially the one concerning maximum policy duration.
Ultimately if you cant get any for more than 90 days, then buy more than one policy with overlapping start and end dates so your mother is always covered.

Try and call someone in Axa Mansard, I think they cover more than 90 days but the might be higher.

Anyone knows if the new process of the less Biometric Capture (CBC) App in the UK for Nigerian port renewal has commenced? It was meant to start in November 2024 but it seem people still go through physical capture in Nigerian High Commission.

That is not entirely true. She had provisional citizenship of Bangladesh until she was 21, her British citizenship was removed when she was 19.

Exactly what I did for a relative, I even used a combination of Allianz and Axa to cover the entire duration of stay. Best option I think

Combine Allianz and Axa. Last time I did, Allianz was far cheaper though coverage may not be as much as Axa but at least you can have a cover for the entire duration. You can buy in Naira as if you’re traveling from Nigeria I think which makes it far cheaper.

Bangladesh owes her citizenship by descent. Her father was born there and also lives there.

The reason they don't want to give her a port and allow her entry is the very same reason the UK government does not want to allow her back.

The app is available on the Play Store; however, it is currently as limited as using a web browser since biometric capture cannot be completed on it. The earliest available date for in-person biometric capture is in late May. Does anyone know if walk-ins are allowed and how to proceed with them?
