jedisco: At the bolded: we're saying the same thing. The central government can pretend that local government is a whole different entity foreign to them but ultimately when the councils go bankrupt its the central government that will pick up the tab - and the functions. At the italicised - not really. People still want more cakeism - improve our public services, give us more benefits , but no one wants to pay for anything. Higher income earners carry a high tax burden in the higher-tax European countries (it's only in the US where higher income earners are better off than their less fortunate counterparts) And the other higher-tax western European countries do not have way higher GDPs than the UK and the bigger European countries (, German, Spain) actually have wealth inequality that's higher or similar to that of the UK. |

Hello everyone, please would like to get recommendations on insurance companies from Nigeria I can use to get travel insurance for my mother in law who would be visiting next month. Plan is for her to stay more than 3 months. I have checked Axa mansard, seems they donβt cover more than 90 days. Would like to hear your views

missjekyll: Sweden plans to remove citizenship from people seen as threat to state Sweden's political parties have agreed that dual citizens who commit crimes that threaten national security should lose their citizenship. A cross-party committee recommended that the change could be applied to anyone who had used bribes or false information to obtain their citizenship; and also if they committed crimes that were a threat to the state or came under the jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court.https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cjdenz1drj8o |

idee91: Read the FAQs, especially the one concerning maximum policy duration. Ultimately if you cant get any for more than 90 days, then buy more than one policy with overlapping start and end dates so your mother is always covered. 3 Likes |

Anyone knows if the new process of the less Biometric Capture (CBC) App in the UK for Nigerian port renewal has commenced? It was meant to start in November 2024 but it seem people still go through physical capture in Nigerian High Commission.

idee91: Combine Allianz and Axa. Last time I did, Allianz was far cheaper though coverage may not be as much as Axa but at least you can have a cover for the entire duration. You can buy in Naira as if youβre traveling from Nigeria I think which makes it far cheaper. 4 Likes |

Santa2:The app is available on the Play Store; however, it is currently as limited as using a web browser since biometric capture cannot be completed on it. The earliest available date for in-person biometric capture is in late May. Does anyone know if walk-ins are allowed and how to proceed with them? |
