Nightlife and living conditions are 2 different things. In fact the places with the best nightlife all over the world are often not the best places to live. For instance soho in London is a terrible place to live, broadway or Harlem are not the best place to live in Newyork, the ripperbhan is not the best place to live in Hamburg etc etc. So saying Lagos is one of the best nightlife cities is not the same as saying it is a great place to live. Everyone in Lagos knows it isn’t but that is not the subject.

Generally speaking the more vibrant the nightlife, the more unlivable the area comparatively. Vibrant Nightlife comes with crime, drugs, robberies, traffic, noise, pollution, street prostitutes etc. so it goes without saying that the more vibrant the nightlife of an area or a city the more unpleasant it is to live. There is nothing inconsistent with Lagos ranking high on nightlife and low on livability…..infact that is the general expectation. Learn to stick to the issue….the article did not claim Lagos is a nice place to live.
