Dan Gore and Moorhouse were both nominated for last month's PL 2 Player of the Month for the whole Under-21 league. Both are doing well but have missed a great deal of time with injuries. Moorhouse in particular had been written off by most people cos the amount of time he has been injured has been crazy. Same with Ennis. Usually, academy players don't recover from that amount of developmental time lost and i still think their career trajectory has been altered because of it.

the club has no option than to look through the window this January then. I don't think we want to see makeshifts like Mazraoui in DM cheesy

We can get short term loan deals this January while Amorin assesses both the senior players and the academy players closest to senior football. Then in the summer we clear out bloated senior salaries and sell off some of the academy prospects that might yield some PSR money if they won't fit into the system.

There are several players in the youth system however who are tailor made for this 3-4-3. CapitalCee and i were discussing who could fit into Amorin's system after he was first hired and we mentioned Kukonki, Mantato, Lacey, Ibrahimov and i also mentioned Moorhouse. We have a few potential squad players in that academy for this system even if they won't become stars.

I wish they do that sha, but I doubt. And Erikson's contract should be ending this year, we'll be very thin in the middle.

We just need to get a CM on a 6-month loan if Casemiro leaves this January. We can manage with the new CM, Ugarte, Mainoo, Collyer, Eriksen, with Bruno also being able to play there if necessary. In the summer we offload Eriksen and get a quality starter level CM on a permanent deal.

Where we need to spend big money is in the attacking areas (CF, Left 10, WBs)

l dnt know if this news is through but if we r going to b paying 150k a week for Mainoo then players will continue taking us for ride. He is worth 60k a week for now. Period. let him go if he doesn't like it. We can get quality players for his position with dt amount of money

......offer Rashford plus Mount for Kvara. McTominay is doing well at Napoli and gonna make it easier for the duo to quickly settle down in Napples.

Zirkzee for Osimhen also won't be bad.

I agree. Mainoo should be earning around 50-70k now and that's much considering that he has not performed to the level he reached last season. He needs to earn his wages else he goes the way of Rashford and Martial.

Yoro who is younger and less proven in the team and actually a bench player at this stage is on 115k. That is where the mistake was made. This thing is a domino effect. You can't have him on 115k and Mainoo on half of that. I am sure that was a negotiating point made by Mainoo's camp.

If they keep most of our good starting players on between 100k and 180k and the rotation players on less than 100k that is okay. Those are not the problems. The problems are the 250k to 350k weekly salaries being paid in a team that is not winning the biggest trophies.

I now understand why he is holding out for 150k but the issues is that if the clubs folds and offers him 150k wages now, in his next contract negotiations, he will most likely be eyeing a jump to 250k or thereabout.

There are a good number of players in world football, and some even in the academy who are more suited to this 3-4-3 than him. The only way he can ask for 250k in a few years is if he has delivered on his promise. If he has not delivered on his promise and has the temerity to ask for 250k in a few years' time we can offload him and get the next man up.

Building the right culture and keeping to a reasonable wage policy is more important than any individual player.

P.S We should not go more than 100-120k in this case sha. If he loves the club like he says he would take it. That is a fair wage for his level. `

Liverpool fans are not happy with their owners but I think I like their model. They are refusing to be bullied into offering Salah, VVD and Arnold ridiculous wages when it is obvious that the first two are in growing any younger anymore and Arnold is not indispensable.

I want to see us reach that point where we stay competitive but at a modest operational cost.

Those ones are asking for 350k plus.

Mainoo is asking for 150k. It is a bit high but not ridiculous. We can negotiate down to about 120k.

Yoro is on 115k, Gravenberch is on 150k, Caicedo is on 180k, Enzo is on 150k, Reiss Nelson is on 100k, Sambi Lokonga is on 50k. No way will Mainoo take 50k-70k.

It is the club's fault for making an 18yr old their midfield savior. Someone that should have been slowly introduced was placed under so much pressure and expectation. If we had better players and a better team Mainoo would have been getting minutes here and there rather than playing game in game out. You can't play him like a chairman and pay him like a peasant.

What i don't like is the timing though. Something he should have left for summer negotiations he has now added more issues and questions for an unsettled Amorin to answer.

I think Mainoo's camp is trying to squeeze out a good deal whilst still possible. He has not been able to replicate his performances of last season, so I don't see why the club should cave in. He should be rewarded based on his current performance and not what he did last season.

If he was playing as well as he did last season, I wouldn't mind, but he isn't, so he is best advised to focus on his football for now.

Yeah, another reason the timing is bad. I don't trust that his elder brother. I am sure that is the person feeding him nonsense. That one is a roan. Kobbie will have more money to shell out to him if Kobbie is being paid big money.

Isn’t this similar with the Rashford and his brother situation? Another case of undue influence for selfish gains, made possible by close relations with the principal.

Na my personal theory o based on 1 or 2 things i noticed about the brother has been moving ever since Kobbie became a big name. I have no evidence.

That is why I said that is the origin. We were desperate to sign Yoro and had to convince his club with a fee that Madrid was unwilling to pay and also convince him with a salary that Madrid would have been unwilling to pay.

The best solution to this is for us to start winning titles so that we won’t have to be bribing players to come here.

We might nt be winning titles but our brand is still viable.NF n Newcastle r currently doing well without high paid players. At this stage we pay according to our pocket.Their r still players who wants to play for us bcoz of past antecedent. We shud stop begging players.

Fair point. It is all about proper scouting, player identification, and player development.
