No way this plenty of masa is 300 naira. 4 years ago, masa this big was being sold for 50 naira per masa, how on earth would all this be 300 naira 4 years later?

Stop the lies.

I bought this Masa for 300 naira in Kaduna. Masa is a popular Northern Nigerian Street food. Masa is made from 100% Rice. Vegitables Soup or Groundnut Soup is used to eat Masa.

Some Suya sellers also add Masa to their Customers on demand. There are two types of Masa. The one that Sugar is added and the one without Sugar.

As for the taste, you're totally wrong on this one.

That quantity of Masa can never be sold at N100.
Masa cost 100 Naira each, therefore what I'm seeing there is approximately 1k Naira

You people can Lllll
Which year pls?
N100 for masa, yam, potato.
Okay ooo
You're obviously a teenager writing WAEC. So you clearly wouldn't know that fried yam and the like were sold for as low as N5 per piece. Masa was N1 per piece.

I'll just give them N100 and tell them to mix it for me. This was around 2010.

I used to eat this masa of a thing back then when Nigeria was still good. There's this Togo people who sell fries in the evening around my area. I'll just tell them to combine yam, potato, masa, plantain...etc. Most times I won't even be able to finish a N100 combination.

APC has truly ruined this country.

Lol. He said APC. With this mindset of blaming the govt , it might hard for you to make it. If you want to be rich first thing is to zero govt out of your mind. Because if not you will keep blaming govt till you clock 80. There are millions of Americans who keep blaming successive govt and they are still working for others till 70 years in order to survive.

Hold your insults Bro, guy man was out of college 010, well I don't know which type of masa you are referring to. I'm from the city of masa, one rate as the best in the northern parts of our dear country.
N1 masa in 2010?, okay ooo

So with a few lines of what I posted you can easily know if I'll make it in life or not.

Aren't Nairalanders wonderful people.

For your information Tinubu blamed and criticized Jonathan's government for more than 6 years and today he's president. So rest abeg.

WAINA is it..

Waina is not Masa

Masa is from Rice mostly eaten with Suya

Waina is from maize mostly eaten with Soup

Know the difference
Dey r all dsame, its jst dialectal differences.
Hausas particularly 4rm sokoto n environs call it masa whlie dose frm kano n environs call it waina.
Btw since tinubu assumed office, a piece frm dat plate is 100 naira each, so do the maths n know d exact price.

A tuber of yam in 2010 wasn't above N100. A bag of rice was N3,500, a Carton of indomine was less than 1k.

How much do you thing masa was. Besides they used their hands to squeeze into the boiling oil, they weren't picking it up like akara and puff puff with spoons. This one was squeezed with hands so it was much smaller and cheaper as well.

What is masa?

It's a northern snack that's the rice equivalent of "akara beans". It's quite tasty, when made with sugar. But I never did have the palates for it while in the North. I ate that thing on about just three occasions, but with suya.

I never had the courage to try out some of this northern food when I was in Kano for NYSC.

BoldBrainz(m): 3:42pm On Jan 10
OP, you're lying.

This masa cannot be 300 naira in Kaduna. As at 2022, a ball of it was sold for 50 naira. Now it goes for hundred box. There's no snowball chance in hell that the quantity of masa in that plate cost you just 3h, not even in Kafanchan.

Who you dey whine?!
Shedrack777: 3:42pm On Jan 10
My problem with localfarmers is that he's a terrible liar. I live in north, same Kaduna, this masa goes N500 naira. With that soup, it'll go for N800. Localfarmers, what do you always gain in lying to the east and southerners?
