For those of you who came back for Christmas, or attended a function in imo state will notice that almost every LGA or village looks like Owerri, both at night and day, with installation of solar lights, concrete or paved roads at least, water projects, schools, rehabilitated health centers, More organized markets Pic 1: Nkwere LGA Pic 2: Nkwere LGA Pic 3: Orlu LGA 1 Like |

When we say Imo is the second most built up state in Nigeria, people think it's a joke. A friend of mine shouted, when we visited Nwangele LGA, says it looks exactly like Owerri neighborhood ![]() 2 Likes 2 Shares |

This is what needs to be happening in every nook and cranny of Nigeria. No one will do it for us. We have to do it ourselves. Spend government allocations on infrastructure. Make your state beautiful. You yourself will be proudly pointing to it...no be sey dust dust go full everywhere. School go be like poultry farm and hospital go be like about shop. 5 Likes |

![]() When it comes to house structures I give it to Imo state especially Nkwerre, Isu, Mbaitolu, Orlu, nwangele and whole lots of others. I don't want to add Owerri municipal and Owerri north, because that's the capitals of the state. The only local government I am not feeling in this imo when it comes to sophisticated buildings are Obowo and ngor akpala. Sadly, with all these beautiful buildings, there's no good road. Hope Uzodimma is a failure. All in all I love what I was seeing in these local governments when I visited Imo state last 5 years. 2 Likes 1 Share |

EmperorCaesar: People are talking about individuals making efforts to build their local communities and you are talking about good-for-nothing APC governors like Hopeless Uzodinma! That useless man has dragged Imo State backwards by 30 years. 4 Likes 1 Share |

If IPOB is what FG calls them, why is it that they don't kidnap or collect taxes but protect farmers free of charge and don't disturb contractors?

MadamExcellency:They don't disturb contractors, but will not hesitate to destroy infrastructures handled by contractors. Are they not terrorists? They protect farmers, you said. But many villages have been emptied because of their activities. When herdsmen attacked villages in Enugu, where were the 'protector' IPOB terrorists? The majority of kidnapping going on in Igboland are caused directly by the destructive activities of IPOB terrorists. Need I talk about the sit at-home and it's attendant destruction. MadamVanessa: You said you visited Imo state five years ago yet you are saying that Uzodinma who had not been in office then is not doing well, despite the Ops assertion that he went to Imo recently and witnessed some new developments. |

MadamVanessa: I think Obowo and Ngorkpala were strongly affected during the war... They are yet to get back on their feet. |

Even 200 years ago, European villages were far more beautiful than this eyesore here.

EmeeNaka: The problem of arming non-state actors is that it's pretty easy to disguise them and cause mayhem. In fact, we have seen armed robbers wear military camouflage to rob motorists and the IPOB is no exception. If security operatives were professional and just in their fight against insecurity and marauder killings, there wouldn't be any need for ESN. In this part of the world, people don't tackle the root cause of a problem; they only complain about its effects. |

The only aggression I have about imo especially, owerri is that be not deceived the hotels bribes the EEDC to supply them electricity leaving the residence at the mercy of darkness. The governor is also aware of this. I Dey pity them. Call anyone in owerri right now and ask them if they have light. The answer is no. They only give them light around 3am to 5am everyday…
