minfelix: My next post already explained an ambitious appointment. Getting someone like Domenec Torrent would have been an ambitious move. |

If this is true let him grab the offer and go…make he resign from that technical Director work abeg

TheGoodJoe:any coach brought in at this point, wether its Eric Chelle or not, has a target to qualify for world cup…that alone is ambitious employment |
minfelix(m): 3:53pm On Jan 08 |
TheGoodJoe:Dominic Torrent himself will see it as a huge gamble than an ambition himself…shey u think say himself no go feel say we wan gamble am? but in the real sense we ourselves are ambitious and aiming to qualify na |

minfelix: ![]() ![]() Qualifying for World Cup is not what someone will tag ambition. Building a World Class coherent team like our Atlanta 96 team that could face the best of the best in World football is ambition. You can't tag such a team to qualify for World Cup. They were squaring it with the best players in World football like Crespo, Claudio Lopez, Rivaldo, Ronaldo de Lima, Ortega, Roberto Carlos, Juninho, Zanetti etc. 1 Like 1 Share |

TheGoodJoe:it start from qualifying to the world cup na…if Chelle qualifies us to the world cup, ambitious 101 kicks in…na to give am 10years contract na😊😀🙌🏻 1 Like |

minfelix: When Domenec Torrent applied for the Super Eagles job, he already prepared (if I am right) a 120-page dossier on how he intends to build our team and improve the way we play. I am talking of us doing big things and not having qualifying for World Cup as ambition. That is too limited. 1 Like |

minfelix: No. It does not. It starts from having a broad bird's eye view of where you are going. Having a big goal (ambition) then, finding a manager that can fit into that big goal. Before breaking it into steps and then climbing a step at a time. The steps are not the ambition but the pathway. |

BankyGee: For me, it's even pointless for people to be wailing over the NFF choice of a foreign coach We need to accept the reality that certain coaches are above our league, and the half-decent coaches within our price range will opt for other African countries (even with less football pedigree) with a better & more organized football istrative structure. That's the reason a Tom Saintfient will rather sign to coach Mali ahead of us. As fans, we owe it a duty to our National team no matter who's in charge. I'm hopeful Eric Chelle will do well. He played exciting football with Mali, got some decent results and I expect he'll replicate same with the Super Eagles. 7 Likes 3 Shares |

TheGoodJoe:sir trust me all oooo… Qualifying to the world cup is an added advantage…continuity and his tactical philosophy will be drafted into the team gradually…Nigeria just want to be happy…and an ambition of qualifying for the world cup and continuing his master class…all oo… |
minfelix(m): 4:06pm On Jan 08 |
TheGoodJoe:sir every coach must and will surely have that broad view na if given that privilege….thats the mistake the Malians made…these guy is fitting perfectly into their system, just one die mins loss and some unfavorable result in world cup qualifiers, you sack him…why not establish him and give him chance to present and ambitious broad bird eye view |
TheGoodJoe(m): 4:07pm On Jan 08 |
minfelix: Not an ambitious appointment. Does not mean something good can't come out of it. When Guardiola was signed to take over Barcelona FC, it was not an ambitious appointment but it turned out a masterstroke. I am hoping Eric Chelle gets us playing in a bright offensive-possessive fashion. I believe with the right selection and balance, our team can do well under him. I am ing him fully. Does not mean I won't see lapses in our management recruitment structure of the Super Eagles. |
TheGoodJoe(m): 4:08pm On Jan 08 |
minfelix: I also found the sack of Eric Chelle ridiculous. I think the FA were just trying to exonerate themselves for the failure. They just had to the coach to keep trying and I believe with time he would have built a fierce team. |

TheGoodJoe:thats why i asked gan gan for that word “Ambitious”and i see you explained it as “one establishing a file of plan and execution of long term tactics” i dont know if my altered explanation, quotes you well. But i feel all this while we were waiting for announcements of Chelle, long term plans and ambitious coaching analysis must have been discussed behind closed door. Anyways sir goodjoe, let me respect your opinion, as for my own opinion, i see this appointment as technical decision to save Nigeria’s face from elimination and possible continuity as SE tactician. 🙌🏻 1 Like 1 Share |

How on earth is this new coach better than AE? It took them ages to get one and this is who they have spent months to get? |

TheGoodJoe: Eric Chelle accepted $55k salary. Will Domenec Torrent accept that figure? 1 Like |
opes: 5:00pm On Jan 08 |
TheGoodJoe: NFF didn't have the cash for any high profile coach, they were just "courting" the government with big names, and the then sport minister made it known to them government not paying a dime. They don't really trust local coaches and Finidi case made it worst. Chris Hughton was on $50k salary when he was coaching Black Stars, that should be okay for NFF, but they went for Chelle, maybe more cheaper. To be honest, he did well with Mali. He was unlucky with the 3 matches he lost out of 22. Bros, I am happy you are back. Happy New year sir. 2 Likes 1 Share |
