Media personality Frank Edoho has opened up about nearly ending his career as host of the popular game show “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire (WWTBAM).

In a recent appearance on the “WithChude” podcast, Edoho reflected on his seven-year marriage to Katherine Obiang, with whom he shares three children.

He said: “My ex-wife was my friend, and there were children involved. I think ours was a mismatch; I was young. When she got pregnant, I had cold feet, but I still got married. It lasted seven years, and in 2007, I left. Three years later, I remarried.

“Being friends with the opposite sex doesn’t mean you should get married because that’s a different ball game. In hindsight, maybe I should have thought about it a bit more.

“She was my good friend, but I think it was love too. I also believe we didn’t examine our relationship thoroughly before we delved into it. I’m not going to say it was solely her fault; it was my fault too, but not in the way people were depicting it.

“That was one of the times I was very depressed, but I couldn’t say anything. The first crisis happened in 2007, but I still stayed on for three years; then it came to a head in 2010, and I left.

“When I left, I was still doing Who Wants to Be a Millionaire; then all of a sudden, I was in the UK, and my boss called me and told me to come back to Lagos because the sponsors were hearing things about me.

“They said I wasn’t going to present this show anymore because of those rumours. I got on a flight the following morning to attend a meeting with them.

“Luckily, my boss knew everything because I’d been telling him about the altercations between us. I was also thinking about my children. They said I committed domestic violence and I was a wife-beater.

“After listening to them, I told them I would tell them everything starting from when I was dating. By the time I reached marriage and the birth of my son and first daughter, two of the ladies were crying.

“I was providing s of everything that happened, and I told them that I have receipts. I said nobody divorced me; I took my suitcase and left the marriage.

But this report does not address the allegation of domestic violence. The report focuses more on "receipts". Receipts of what? Receipts about the alleged domestic violence? Did the domestic violence occur? If yes, did the receipts you provided justify the violence or prove you innocent in the violence?

Hmm I go write am One Day sha. I go marry whom I tot was my best friend of 10 years (why i married her, but ppl thought cos she is almost like aduni ade, that i went for beauty) bt cos I was an introvert n almost no femal friend bt she turned to be my worst Enemy.. i was young too, had a career, was driving different cars
despite living with my folks, future was bright, i could have thoroughly inspected her toxic from onset.. she asked me out indirectly at fess but later asked her out properly, in early stage PEOPLE WARNED ME! but u can't advice a young Guy with MONEY, IN LOVE. but I paid the Price, everything disappeared , i onle left marriage with jus cars, my CERTIFICATES + MARRIAGE CERT, i forfeited other properties she even removed Kitchen cabinet his story is like mine, I left, I filed for DIVORCE, then she went thru her lawyer tried to remove me from FG job n so many things.. it's a crazy world, 90% women are after SUCCESSFUL Men & MONEY..

Misleading post from a skilled liar.

His show sponsors don't care if he was married, cohabiting or divorced.
It was all about the domestic violence aspect.

He has receipts for everything but not the abuse he meted out.
He has always avoided addressing the domestic violence issue directly,
preferring to focus on diversionary tactics and unrelated stories instead.

As to him remarrying again after divorce, that is not an achievement and neither does
it prove anything about his domestic character.

He is a "rich man" by Nigerian standard and he is famous to boot, if he wanted 10 wives at once, he
could have gotten them without fuss.

Sometimes, your immediate boss might end up being your foster father. They listen, give advice, and even stand by you in difficulties. No be all of them ohh but some are special.

I Catherine and Charles Anazodo’s wife (forgotten her name now) from AM Express on NTA. They were great presenters. They made AM Express fun to watch; the two ladies, Sadiq, and their late boss (forgotten his name too).

Ran into Charles’’ wife in 2007 or 2008 at NTA in VI. The lady was fine like mami water (lol), but shortness wan kee her…😀

It’s a shame Frank and Catherine’s marriage failed. I loved those young couples - Frank and his wife, as well as Charles and the wife. Four TV personalities that were good at their job.

So it took you over a decade to finally "clear the air" and your is the absolute truth and nothing but the truth. Till date Catherine has not been interviewed about the collapse of their marriage (I stand to be corrected) Before the marriage crashed, it wasn't Catherine that publicly accusing him of infidelity and DV, it was eye witnesses and people close to the accused him. Why not clarify when rumours were flying around on the tabloids? He moved on so fast and married an older woman which even further cemented the rumours of infidelity.

Never judgement on one party's view people hardly state or see their faults in the matter.

It could be truth but there is always the other side of the story too

Actually he did tell his own side of the story back then. I when the rumours were circulating and I also when he responded to them.

If you know what some men are going through in the hands of some women all in the name of marriage you will weep for them. A lot of women are also facing chagrin from wicked husbands in their marriage.
