Its called opportunity..even in the US, the Rich send their kids to exclusive boarding schools and in the UK, same not the regular public schools...so everyone just want a leg up, and for some parents, they want to open more doors for their children. But you must be careful cos others have regretted making that move...the children ended up getting lost in the Western system.

It is also "opportunity" when all our doctors run abroad. How do we develop infrastuctures in our institutions if all the rich run abroad for schools and medicals.
MasterTeeUSA: 1:28am On Jan 08
As long as they are spending their own money, let them run abroad. No one is stopping doctors and nurses from running abroad. The Govt should do more to replace those leaving. All I would say is...do what is best for you, but for those that are super comfortable in Nigeria, transition abroad will be easier...and for the doctors and nurses, look well before you leap so you do not find yourself doing work that is meant for non-degree holders when in 5-10yrs, you could be a consultant collecting UN money while in Nigeria.

I am beginning to think that Phillip Aduda is following wike around so wike can use his power as FCT minister help rig him in, in the next senate elections. They are doing everything possible to return Aduda to power through the backdoor. This also s for why wike isn't in good with Hon. Ireti, the Abuja senator

You know nothing about skill drains in our country.

These people are politicians who destroyed our systems before sending their wards abroad. I have no problem if they are private citizens, you don't see politicians abroad sending their kids to other countries for education or indulging in medical tourism. These things are shameful to even talk about.

They send their children abroad, to the very best school, and make the school education unconducive for us here in Nigeria. Giving us false hope and empty promises.

When they're sick they fly abroad, child bearing, they fly abroad, vacation they fly abroad. They steal from our resources and make it seem like we have no choice but to accept whatever we see because we have no voice or strength to fight them.

Corrupt leaders!

Time will tell.... The wind will soon blow

All what you wrote doesn't change the fact that Obi is a hypocrite. He can be judged with the same yardstick you used for Wike. Wike is a public official, not a civil servant. Is it a crime to make money from politics? Even without stealing, the public offices he has held is enough to make him rich.

Beautiful, nice one! What have you gained by this?

Ya all insult yourselves here while politicians shake hands behind closed doors ... Open your eyes. All of you here have one common enemy - bad leaders! But you prefer to be myopic
MasterTeeUSA: 2:00am On Jan 08
Most of our politicians are successful business owners. Some of their children are smart and could have gotten scholarships abroad. You speak as if you know all of their sources of wealth. Some of them were billionaires before they got into government, so you should be careful how you judge, which is why someone like myself would not contemplate being a politician because people can be ignorant thinking all my achievements are tied to being in govt. So because they are politicians, all their children should school in Nigeria? Even Obama, Clinton, Joe Biden's grandkids did not attend public schools or Trumps...only Elite private schools.

These comments in here shows how myopic this generation is!

They don't realize that the common enemy they have is bad leadership - but no, they are more interested in tribal war!

Goodluck to ya'all

Yea "Most of our Politicians are successful business owners"

You are very right! They were so successful that they could afford everything even without ing politics...

Infact, our politicians are not even as corrupt as the world portrays them - seems like we hate "most of them" for no just cause - I mean how can "most of our politicians" who are successful be corrupt?

His children living the best life outside the country while this Obio Akpor drunkard makes life unbearable for Abuja residents. Ranging from destruction of properties and stealing of lands and giving it to whoever he want to give to.

That was how the colonial slave masters stole lands and resources and gave it to whoever they like and prefer and they still do same till today using several means.....

As Minister of State for Education, Wike contributed in no small measure to undermining the personnel and technical capacities in Nigerian higher institutions, especially universities.

It seems like you have a nigerianize definition of what corruption is, please enlighten me with that definition and also kindly mention that most of our politicians who are ( truly) successful and not corrupt from 1999 till date?
Thanks.

The FCT Minister, Chief Barrister Nyesom Wike, alongside his wife, Justice Eberechi Nyesom Wike, attended the graduation ceremony of their son, Jordan, who just earned a Master of Laws (LLM) Degree at the Queen Mary University of London, UK.

"As a father, I am happy for the progress Jordan is making in the pursuit of his career." the FCT Minister said.

My honest fear is that Wike will someday rule Nigeria as President and Haiti with all its violence and poverty will be called heaven when compared to Nigeria - I honestly believe Wike will take over from Tinubu angry

WIKE knows how to rig elections in the field, and he has the judiciary of Nigeria in his pocket!

Thought I was the only one thinking same

If not for corruption, how much do you think these politicians earns as salary and allowance? My comparison is between someone that ed politics as a billionaire and someone that started as a nobody and has acquired massive wealth than someone that started as a billionaire.

Not that they do not trust it, they destroyed it by underfunding and underpaying the institution and staff.
Nigeria is a scam! Our unfortunate leaders, all of them, take their children abroad for education, they buy houses abroad and go there for medical attention but turn around to encourage us (their presumed slaves) to stay back and develop the country, of course as Labourers. And when we eventually slave to develop it, they will import their children back to Nigeria to hold top positions and start leading what they never worked for.
