Cost of naira to buy connects is the main issue. Too much of a risk, I would advise people to try LinkedIn or Reddit and once they make some money they can invest on Upworks.

I had similar issues in the past. In fact I ignore them most of the time till it automatically refunds. But it will affect your JSS.

Next time (hope there will be no next time) use that 7 days to hunt new CL before it refunds and impacts your JSS.

I even had similar experience on Fiverr. The client was being a jerk. So he requested cancellation, I rejected the cancellation, and until the customer intervened.

Your will not be suspended however on the said date, the money will be debited, and credited to the client without recourse to you. So rather than delay and further get the client angry and risk a poor private (which would affect your JSS) and opportunities for subsequent work, why not just approve immediately and move on?
