I don't see the core north agreeing to that bill tinibu might just end up going through the back door by using the supreme court to the bill for only the benefit of lagos and rivers states who I understand are already in court.

Please how does that work? ing a bill via the supreme court?

He'll win on what grounds?

Can you point out any of his policies that isn't anti people? Point just one that the average Nigerian including yourself is enjoying.

If you thing tribalism and propaganda would keep him in aso rock beyond 2027 you'd better awake from your slumber because as it stands now. Only the SW are still ing him. The north he used to ride into power have left him.

No one in north can contest election with him and win 2027 5 people will emerge contesting so easy win from any strong south

Use subsidy removal to know the effect of the bill to the economy. We were told that subsidy removal will benefit the poor masses we have all seen the effect.

Only a section of this country this tax bill because their sense reasoning have been beclouded with tribalism

Well said. It's difficult to believe that the tax bill is for the nation's interest, just as it's looking that subsidy is affecting livelihoods more than most envisaged.

tax reform is the way to go. Let state compete and hustle for investment thereby providing more tax and revenue. That way we can stop this feeding bottle republic where northerners don't want to do anything but want money from other states to be shared to them.

Feeding Bottle Republic for northerners, you wrote. So in your own understanding, Abuja sharing revenues from crude oil and gas from the Niger delta region, to all the states and Abuja, is not part of the phenomenon of Feeding Bottle Republic, but an entitlement to all the states and Abuja?

I see

That is bound cause some rift

The person you are asking for guidance from does not know zilch about the bill and he just fed you bunkum. Pls don't swallow his ignorance.

The Bill proposes to increase the derivation share of VAT to 60% from current 20%. This means States that generate more economic activities on which VAT is paid will get a higher share of the VAT revenue from the FG.

Lagos will get less than it currently gets because all the headquarters privilege it used to enjoy will be stripped. For example, currently all MTN's VAT remittance goes to Lagos because headquarters is there. Under the reform bill, the VAT will be shared among all the states where MTN's subscribers are located.

Pls be checking well who you seek guidance from make you no go ask weed seller for medical advice.

How many state governors visited president Tinubu in the new year?

Hahahaha, this is a game of number . Those northerners fuming about the tax reform bill should realise that they don't have the number to stop the bill at both senate and house of rep
Your pay master needs North for next re-selection, so he'll dance to their tune.

All these talks are just gossips to sell newspaper. What else do you want to hear about this tax bills that you have not heard during his media chat. He said he's not against consultations & may even cut some edges but the bill is here to stay. Any other thing is mere gossips.

That bill will be withdrawn. He just need to beat the North to corner, gets them to sign agreement against 2027. Once that is done, the bill will be withdrawn.

“I am fully in of the ongoing tax reforms, but I believe that the committee, led by Oyedele, is skipping a very vital step in the engagement process. Given the sensitive nature of these bills, the Federal Government should step down the bills to allow for wider consultation and inputs from all stakeholders,” he advised.

Step down? NO!
Allow for wider consultation and inputs? YES

forget about all this rigging you are talking about.OBI cost Atiku winning the election or we can as well say Atiku cost Obi winning the election.
I was well in the north and core north for that matter during 2023 election and I know what am talking about.Atiku won several northern states.Even in my polling unit, and several others around me, Atiku won.All of the 3 major political parties in that election in a way give out cash or gift materials to voters .

Tax bill is against the poor not for.

Tax bill is against the poor not for.

Tax bill is against the poor not for
The bill is against irresponsible Governor's and Systems that have been the style for long....You won't xonsume anyhow again irresponsibly you would pay heavily but you would be compelled to be productive..,..That's what the northern elites can't do their greatest fear is work ,.....They want to seat in Abuja or have Government jobs and spend lavishly which is what is prevalent by this people particularly in Abuja ...See what their children do with money ...Some even use suv to do racing and crash the cars believing their father would get them another one until Buhari warned them any bodies child found doing that their parents whosoever should be will be arrested a retired General or Politicia or even civil servants and Big business mm ....Some of these shenanigans stopped but continued....
People are wasteful in Nigeria until you travel you won't know we spend money on needless things thats simply because of the oil revenue never came by sweat ....Let them farm and get money through work rather than allocation you would see how they would seat up ...
Docile weak and lazy ass Governors full that North all will wait till the end of the month for money even all their Local Government Chairman ....They won't even go to their office sometime only when it's time to pay salary how would they generate revenue from mining ....
If they won't accept this the Niger Delta should abolish 13percent derivation and the system of generating revenue from the south to fund the north

You're joking The bill has come to stay BAT have warned several times he's not afraid of 2027 ....It's like you don't know what's going on he would consolidate on Power and would still be reelected forget what you think ..,No one as made a daring move as this not even obj .....Let hands together in that NORTH the tax reform would stand that's what te the executive power has..
You would only make noise just as he has said ..... Nigeria is already divided on this ..

You're not dealing with Obj here or Jonathan who did all to appeal to the so called NORTH ....It has touched them now some even calling for war ...They think they have a Gowon or Obj or Adekunle to fight .....It's not the same the modern wars are not like the one fought in the 60s ....Wars are easy to start but difficult to finish go ask Russians, Yemen, Lebanon and those Muslim countries....Now a General can be hit just from his bunker or office lol, command stations😂🤣 😂 e.g Nasrallah, Russia general, we if you think you can just use foot soldiers while you seat in an office to fight a war now it's not going to be like that oo
Drones can locate the remotest places all they need is the tracking device of phones cars laptops and gadgets ....Pagers were use to eliminate all Top Hezbollah hamas officials not one survived

You cannot rig election in a place where you are not popular. If Peter Obi agrees to deputise Atiku in the PDP, Bola Tinubu will be sent packing before noon on the election day. Northern Nigerian made Tinubu president because they believe APC is their party.

Don't be deceive, tax bill is against d poor not for as .....they are saying Vat @ ..10% affect everything.
I'm working as operations manager in a food manufacturing company we charge vat.
Our products are used by everyday Nigerians.
From bread to Seasonings, tin tomatoes, bread ingredients etc.
Everyone uses phones, laptops and desktops all these items VAT 10% will be added. Or poor people do not used these items

Go and check again. Not all these items are taxed. According to the tax bill, some of the vulnerable items such as food won't be taxed. If you tax them, then you and your company are thieves and we can't blame the president. It's you we will blame.

Also, I'll rather pay 10% VAT and see more funds for development in my state of residence than pay 7.5% so it can be shipped to another state not paying tax. Tax reform has come to stay and it will

Who will burn Nigeria? South east people?

Have you forgotten that you are just a dot in a circle. Chill with the chest beating. South easterners are not considered in Nigeria as a country.
