I the President of the World Anti 3pt spammers association have been greatly vindicated. A complaint I and some of us have been making for almost 3 seasons now has finally gone mainstream. Who caught Barkley brutally roasting JJ Redick. ![]() These guys are a natural treasure I tell you. JJ thinks we're stupid and NPCs he wants these guys to see piss and call it rain. Wemby was supposed to be the unicorn. Turns out he's just 7'4 Trae Young. This dude is spamming more 3s than prime Klay Thompson. This is what Inside NBA is supposed to promote? GTFOH And what happened to the Suns. 2 games under. 500 is nasty 2 Likes 1 Share |

A40: Make me understand this analysis. Wenbanyama is easily the best defender in the NBA right now. He leads the NBA in Blocks per game. Plus he is averaging 26points per game in just his second season. And would likely finish top 5 in MVP voting. He also has a FG% of 46%. How would him playing under the basket improve anything. Asides your personal biases, how does that help him in anyway, seeing as he is doing so well already with his preferred style of play ![]() 2 Likes |

Skrrrrrrr:He's 7'5. If he's not leading the league in blocks I wonder who would Do I think he deserves to be top 5 in the MVP list? Probably not but I don't care, it's a popularity contest. However I'm telling you that this playing style plays a huge role in why fans are tuning out the sport. Wemby at his size should not be taking more 3s than prime Klay Thompson did. Fans do not want to see that shit. What fans want to see is balance, some post moves, not a 3pt shuckin contest. You can call it my personal bias but this is just one of many reasons why other fans are not watching so clearly I'm not alone. I'm not piling on Wemby but he definitely is a poster child of what we are talking about. 2 Likes |

A40: So basically him playing the way you want does nothing for him, it's about what you think the fans want to see.... Got it.... I don't think the reason the fans are not turning up is because of 3s though. But that is a story for another day.... 1 Like |

Skrrrrrrr:He doesn't have to play how I or other fans want him to play same way fans also do not have to watch. Why are fans not watching? We are telling you why. You're arguing with us again. O ga ju Load management 3pt spamming Lack of physicality 96 3s between Celtics and Timberwolves the other day. Sorry but that is not enjoyable basketball for anybody. They're free to keep playing that way but asking fans not to complain about it is crazy. Load management and 3pt spamming are the two biggest reasons fans are not watching. If you like argue with the customer. That one na your right. Customer right is not to watch 1 Like 1 Share |

A40: To be honest, anyone that does not want to watch because people shoot threes can go to hell.... It's not the responsibility of the players to choose a pattern of play based on some interests. We just saw the WNBA exploding because of a 3 point shooting guard. As far as I'm concerned, the NBA is simply experiencing diminishing returns. Everyone plays to their strength. The celtics won the championship, spamming 3s. The reason.the teams of old could not spam 3s was because they were deficient in that particular skillset. Wenbanyama doesn't need to do any post work, he scores more playing the way he does. Plus a 7'4 player that can shoot is rarer than a 7'4 player that plays under the basket. Shooting is not easy and the people that do not do it, do not do because they disliked it. They simply couldn't.... 1 Like |

Skrrrrrrr:You're in your feelings right now. Wetin consign hell with basketball. This is what we are talking about The product sucks and fans are allowed to express that. What you lot are trying to do is shame fans into not expressing that and we all say a collective No. The 3pt is still a novelty in the women's game so you're comparing apples to oranges, let the league have like 5 Caitlin Clark's with 2 players on each team shooting 50 3s a night and watch the interest die quick No. Teams of old did not respect the 3pt shot. It was rightfully tagged as lazy basketball. I keep telling you lot. There's nothing special or difficult about it. Marc Gasol, Brook Lopez, LeBron James even Wembanyanma are living proof that volume is all it takes to be halfway decent at 3pt spamming Brook Lopez made a 1 season jump in 16-17 from no 3s to 5 3s a game Wemby has jumped from 5 3s to 9 3s a game and he's only making them at a 35% clip. What's special about that?? The 3pt shot is not nuclear physics or brain surgery. All you had to do is hoist it repeatedly. Quit making it this complex skill that professional players of yore could not master. That's utterly ridiculous 3 Likes |

Fvckin Dillon Brooks a mid ass player is chucking 7 3s a game and I'm supposed to believe shooting is some type of complex skill The difference between the older eras and now is Dillon Brook after his 2nd-3rd brick would be promptly sent to the bench. Not today that he will be allowed to shoot his teams out of games |

And omo I can't defend this Jamal Murray again ohh. This regression is too steep. I can't say trade him cos they can't but they are one team that needs to look closely at the Jimmy Butler situation Calvin Booth is doing a disservice surrounding Jokic with bums. They are a G-League team when he's on the bench. It's absurd |

Skrrrrrrr:That is why Shai is the reference and rallying point for basketball right now. Shai would thoroughly entertain you by getting to the rim, his midrange and spicing it up with a sprinkling of 3s. He could spam 3s if he wanted to. HE CAN. But he doesn't because it just doesn't make sense. Your 3s are not falling yet you keep throwing them. Fuckin get to the rim. 3 Likes |

greypencils: Lmao. You think people genuinely love watching Shai? With all the fouls? Let me tell you, if Basketball was left to foul baiters like Shai, the game would be dead already. The problem is that the new generation of superstars have no sauce. How many people turned up to the Olympics to watch shai play. Only OKC fans give a Bleep about that fraud. No one wants to watch anybody bait foul all game and shoot 10 FTs every night. That is worse for the NBA than 3pt spamming.... Lebron and steph match ups still generate more viewership than anything shai has done or will ever do. Like I said, the superstars that are entertaining to watch, are old and about to be phased out. These new ones have no sauce.... |

Skrrrrrrr:So to you, when a player is fouled, the ref should swallow the whistle. That is you. Fouls are part of basketball. The player expends energy and effort to get to the rim hence the foul. It is that energy & effort viewers want to see. It's fun when the 3s are made. It's a nice rush of adrenaline. But if you know you can't shoot 40% and above. Bleep it! Get to the paint to get your team going. 4 Likes |

greypencils: It's draining when you are foul baiting bro. It disrupts the flow of the game, plus when a quarter of all your points come from FTs, that does not particularly make you a good scorer. It just makes you extremely boring to watch. Curry's MVP season, he didn't shoot half the free throws shai shoot, infact he never shoots enough free throws. I'd rather watch dillon brooks chuck up 10 threes a night, for the sheer ridiculousness of it than watch shai shoot FTs. That's as boring ad watching a paint dry..... |

You prefer to watch them chuck 3’s than get to the rim, that’s your preference. Don’t try to make us look like we’re fools for having our opinion about the disdain for the ridiculous 3pts spamming which basically almost every fan hates btw Look around, who’s ing you on this one? You have to accept that what you dislike is what the majority is clamoring for as shown in the ratings. Again, you can make your own objections as to why that is happening but the experts, legends and the fans of the game are all saying the same thing. You don’t think that holds water? Kibbs: I don't have any issue with anyone going to the rim. I'm saying everyone should play to their strength. Under 30% shooters chucking up 3s is bad but the problem with the NBA isn't only about that. Foul baiting and going to the line 10 times a night is as much a menace if not worse....Embiid and Shai won't make this league anymore interesting, afterall a lot of those guys that took it to the basket were historically poor shooters. Shaq didn't bait for fouls, he couldn't even score them. Another thing, maybe you should learn to be an independent thinker and not look for .... |
birdman(m): 7:11pm On Jan 04 |
Skrrrrrrr: Actually, this is traditional basketball. The point of a game is fighting through opposition, not just draining 3s. There are far better shooters with 100% FG in an empty gym. But we dont pay to watch those people. I agree with you that too many foul calls makes the game drab and unwatchable, but it cant be like NBA JAM either. The main difference between NBA and college hoops or other leagues in the world, is this is a grown man's game. You cant be 6'6, 240 lbs and be avoiding and playing like a ballet dancer ![]() 4 Likes 1 Share |

It's aimple. If you don't want to watch the NBA because they're taking too many threes according to you, go watch the NHL. Or better still, go watch the National Lacrosse League. I can't understand why you can't go with the times. 3pt is part of the game, so if a team decides to take half of its shots from the 3pt line, it's all fair game. Teams are looking for ways to win games and championships, not to appease the detractors. A lot of money is at stake here. PS: Charles Barkley has no right to be criticizing today's game because his style of play didn't give him any championship 1 Like |

greypencils: It doesn't make sense to who, you? Shai averaged 3.6 3pt attempts per game last year. This year he's averaging 6. Can you see the trend? Jokic is up to 4.7 from 2.9 and is shooting 48% up from 36%. Now if it were you, would you shoot more 3s or less. The game is all about analytics these days. You can't find a clear advantage and not leverage on it as much as you can. There's so much money involved these days to not take any advantage you see. |

steady986:Your point? Everything is not about Lebron. On this space I have criticized Curry. Wella! I done step on toes here on top my criticism of Curry. So Bron is no different. I am pro basketball without backing any particular player or team. I am saying 3pt spamming is crap, you dey mention Lakers. Wetin concern me with Lakers? Play ball! If you can't stop your opponent without fouling them, your loss. |

Chicago Bull Minnesota Timberwolves Philadelphia Sixers Miami Heat There is one common denominator….Butler! Man is disruptive and a cancer in any locker room. It is only a matter of time before he shows up. |

2 straight games with over 15 rebounds for wemby, he leads the league in Blocks. Last time he had 35. All against Denver. But we don't respect his game because we expect him to play like charles barkley who he is most likely to eclipse in every statistical category.... You guys joke a lot..... 1 Like |

Roland17:How is it possible to like a player but hate the team he plays for? I dunno why, but I have always liked Butler without caring for the teams he plays for. Heat is the first I'll like. Now that he is leaving, I am leaving with him. Never liked Heat especially after Lebron ed. Same with Boston. I loved Kyrie in Boston, loved Rajon Rondo in Boston, love Jaylen Brown in Boston. Still hate Boston. |
