This particular leverage calculation is the only concept I'm still yet to fully grasp on crypto till now even after watching different videos on YouTube about it. Haven't found a fully explicit one on it yet.

I trade a very short time frame, majorly the 30/15mins timeframes, so I believe leverage should be adjusted according to your stoploss, just like position sizing kinda thing.
So leverage used doesn't really matter as long as one already had a predetermined total loss amount/exit price before entry.

understanding isn't that difficult, to know your liquidation price from your leverage, divide 1 by the leverage and multiply by 100 e.g if you're using 5x leverage,1/5=0.2*100=20. when your coin dumps by 20% from your entry price, you get liquidated.

I'm new to crypto, I trade forex majorly and BtcUsd on mt5, but the spreads is a bit of disadvantage, reason why I started looking into futures trading on binance after I saw the almost zero spread on their crypto pairs.

I'm too comfortable with the mt5 platform I make use for trade execution on forex that transitioning into binance is still feeling like some hectic task for me.

What's hectic there? Use trading view to analyse before entry. Crypto futures trading platforms are the most straightforward.

Depends on the effective leverage you are using. If you survive the dip, you can calculate your MDD and revise your effective leverage for your next trades. If you didn't survive the dip you can calculate the MDD of the coins you traded and adjust your effective leverage accordingly.

If you have $100 in your portfolio and decide that you want to lose only $5 (5%), you can set your SL at 5%. I on the other hand can use $5 as margin at 20x leverage (5% drop to liquidation) to trade.

After 5% drop, I get liquidated and lose just $5. You on the other hand can lose more than $5 or your whole portfolio due to slippage, exchange freeze or liquidation wicks.

What's better than SL? Stop Profit. It's a positive stop loss that is placed in the green zone so that once you are in money, you can always leave with some change even if market reverses. That's what I use.

It's wrong for your stop loss to be your liquidation price.

While placing an entry order, also place a stop order (if after entering the position, price move against your position & hit your stop price, the trade will be terminated)
