R and First Aid certification can be completed in a one-day training session, including both lecture and practical components. These certifications are not only offered by Canadian colleges but also by globally recognized organizations like the Red Cross, which provides them worldwide at cheaper rate . Therefore, focus primarily on obtaining the main Health Care Aide certificate
Thanks again. I stay online looking for HCA certification online. Please if you know any institution offering it online, please let me know. I've sent an email to TRU about their online requirement too.

The UK will kick you out, and you'll be forced to go back to naija. In short, the real question is, would you rather be in Canada or naija ? Let's stop forming like we have options here. To answer your last question whether Canada is worth it or not. It all Depends on your ability to adapt and/or hustle. Don't listen to others. What they eat don't make you poop.

You always give advice based on your hatred for Nigeria, likely stemming from personal or family failures. You didn’t even ask this person about their job in the UK, their residency prospects, or quality of life. Instead, you dismissed both the UK and Nigeria without relevant questions.

Not everyone sees a country as just a port. For you, it seems all about the Canadian port and visa-free travel to 180 countries, ignoring whether people have the resources to even travel.

Well, I’m not surprised since you’ve even called your family vultures. People should focus on reasonable advice and ignore this bitterness.

You are very wicked. My "bitterness" for naija is also shared by Davido, Tayo, etc. Naija champion. Read and comprehend. Canada is this person's plan B. If Europe forces them to leave, they'll have to pick between naija or Canada. So what's there to discuss ? They're already doing their research and is planning. But if/when they come to Canada, if things doesn't pan out as expected, they'll change things around and will be forced to adapt.

I've given formulas on how to be successful in Canada, but bad Belle like you constantly dismiss it. Everyone wants to be prime Minister or CEO. My friend fear is just an illusion. I find it funny people in naija talk tough. "Naija no dey carry last", "I be naija person. I can hustle anywhere" . Then people get scared to come and hustle in a developed 1st world country. It's comical.

Mr, formular,Can you show us where Davido calls his family vultures in Nigeria like yours?

Your formula includes a nonexistent cleaning job in Canada that supposedly earns over 100k a year. Based on your advice, I think the guy should quit his job in the UK and move to Canada.

You are neither mentally nor psychologically sound, yet you refuse to seek professional help.

he is on a 2 years post graduate visa. He needs to get a sponsorship job to remain in the UK after that.

The COS runs for care jobs has been dismantled and care jobs not sponsoring like in the past , the salary requirements for sponsorship job now is too high that most employers cant pay such.

So in the coming year and next a lot of Nigerians in the UK will be stranded. A sibling of mine is also in the same shoes. If the guy qualifies for Canada PR he should go for it.

So, without asking the guy about his current work, you already concluded that it's a care job or that his employer cannot pay the required wage—without even asking where he is employed. I think the world is gradually connecting. Nigerians going to the UK will end up only in care jobs, and the ones going to Canada in care jobs , as factory worker or Uber drivers...na wa oo

if he is working in UK doing a job that can sponsor will he be exploring Canada? What are you saying na .

Is this not the same person in the below link? . Seems you dont know what is going on in the uk. Some have gotten data analytics, some have gotten jobs in NHS . But thats a minority. Like i said i have a sibling there plus we see it daily on LinkedIn too sponsorship jobs are hard to come by .https://nairaland.unblockandhide.com/7695199/living-uk-life-immigrant-part-3/687#132250688

I need a candid advice. I have finished my masters in the UK and currently on the graduate visa and I have begun the process of moving to Canada using PR. But with what I am hearing about canada; few jobs, high cost of living compared to the UK, and even the stricter immigration measures being put in place by Trudeau. Is Canada still worth it? Or should I stay back in UK? I need advice and suggestions

Not much info is given on your post but as some have said, you need to consider all variables- (what job you're currently doing, course of study, skillset, family, e.t.c) and itemize what options you have and move on it.

As you know, to remain in the the UK after your graduate visa, you'd need a regular sponsorship (i.e salary of upto 38k) or a job in an exempt industry e.g the NHS or Care. There is also the teaching route. Lastly a second masters or phd which are all expensive and cumbersome. If you're unable to remain in the UK, what are your likeable options?

The issues mentioned about Canada are what can be stated about any western society with different skew. Moving to Canada as a PR takes significant weight off your shoulder as you face your career without all the pressures of having a visa.

P.s. nothing stops you from pursuing both. The Canadian PR process is fairly straightforward. If you get both, you can then weigh options from a more vantaged position. If you're targeting the Canadian healthcare draws, then you'd need to get on and apply as average scores are likely to keep rising.

'Asian-styled capitalism' should be blamed

Though the reasonable minimum pay in many U.S states is above the federal minimum wage, it's rate of rise still hasn't come close to how quickly the top 1% have amassed wealth over the last 2 decades and yet still found ways of paying less effective tax.

I went to renew my Nigerian port at ottawa on November 12. Since then I haven't received my port. I'm getting seriously worried. I know canada post was on strike but the worst part is my tracking number doesn't even show up on the canada post website. What can I do in this situation?

If the port has not been received by from the embassy then it will not show up on the tracking page of Canada Post.

I think you should start emailing them daily in the hope that someone will respond. Otherwise, you just have to wait.

You should be able to see the stage your port is at on the e-port website.

Before you start getting worried, use your registration number to check if your port is still in production or has been sent to Canada post

It has had this status for 2 weeks now. Does that mean that it should have been sent to Canada post?

Just saw this on the website. Maybe that's why Canada post haven't received it.

What's the x factor in getting a job here in Canada? Skills/Courses? Education/Degrees? Experience?

It's tough being an international student here. I'm likely to get a remote job from Nigeria than getting a physical job here in Ontario.

Even menial jobs aren't available, or am I doing something wrong?
You're not doing anything wrong. Canada is a dead country now.
The amount of Nigerians suffering in that country right now is scary. Students are dropping out after wasting millions of naira on school fees thinking they can work and pay off the balance.
Canada is useless, don't be deceived by those winter pictures of people in snow wearing winter wear. Just one big empty overrated country who allowed millions of immigrants in knowing fully well they can't cater for them.

All these pictures you're posting are completely useless.
Nigerians are suffering in Canada, people have been here for 1-2 years without a stable job, people are losing their home cos they couldn't keep up with the rent, people are dropping out of colleges cos they can no longer afford the new semester fee after coming here with the thought that they can work and pay it off, people are dropping shame behind and moving back to Nigeria after wasting millions of naira coming to this useless empty country and you keep posting these lame pictures without offering any tips to help them navigate the struggles. Nigerian are dying in this country and you guys don't want to say the truth openly so the new ones coming should know what's up.

Canada is a dead country, just big for nothing and empty. You better use that money to move to any country in Europe even if it's a non speaking English country instead of coming to Canada. Don't be deceived by these pictures you see online, the reality is far different from what you are seeing.

1.Every student that applied submitted evidence of sufficient proof of funds and tuition. Where is the money?
2. in the past i warned people not to come if they don’t have sufficient funds for studying. I always recommend people with low CRS scores learning French and trying PR over student visa. But dem no listen.
3. Last year I referred about 5 people to my workplace and 3 got in . I no try?
4. Many also bought houses without doing the calculations and became house poor. Some falsified income to get those mortgages. Mostly driven by peer pressure .

Inspite of all the videos online about unemployment and international students difficulties ( plus lack of pathway to PR) many are still trying to come in through same route. So wetin concern us?
