I have been meaning to post my update but I got carried away with the festivities.

I recently received my visit visa to the UK. My biometric was on the 4th of December. Collection email was received on the 20th of December, I went to collect my port on the 23rd.

I mentioned that I intended to travel on the 26th in my application but unfortunately i have to postpone my trip because the flight fare was over my budget. I'm looking forward to traveling by March 2025.

Thank you to everyone who offered explanation and answered my questions. I also got additional assistance from a family member who travels frequently.

For my application, I mentioned that I work. I included my payslips for 6 months and 6 months bank statement for two of my s (one for salary, the other for other funds from my side hustle). Mind you my salary is not up to N300k. My purpose of visit was to visit my elder sister. My brother-in-law was my sponsor and he gave me invitation letter, council tax, payslips, tenancy agreement and bank statement.
I also used my husband, father and younger sister as my home ties. I only included consent letter from my husband and included his port page and various pictures of me and my sister, hubby and entire family.

If she has shop in Nigeria attach the local government level
Ur employment letter

May I please know how long you are planning to visit the UK and how much (in pounds) you stated your brother-in-law will be sponsoring, and how much you stated as your total budget on the application for the duration of your trip (including flights)? Since you will be staying with your elder sister, I believe accommodation is already covered and hence you didn't budget for accommodation. However, for the benefit of those who are yet to apply, it'll be helpful to know how long you intend to visit and how much was budgeted on the application for the duration of your visit (including flights). We submitted

1. CAC document for registration of, "business name" ed since 2011. The company name has always been active on CAC (I don't even know how the ECO concluded on that), and I even submitted a certificate of annual returns dated on October 2024 for year of October 2023. And also a bank reference later showing business has existed for 5 years, and my personal statement

Suddenly the reason for the refusal is that company is not found on CAC, and I have no rights to appeal. it even stated that they considered interviews from applicant and sponsor, but non of that happened

Please any idea what we need to do next?

Get an agent decision might be overturn or do a paid mail or reapply and figure out those grounds on which she was being denied mostly on her ties with her home country Nigeria and your CAC registration/dues( Renew it)

the CAC is current. It's just their website that is on maintenance (according to the homepage)
The business was ed 13 years ago, and annual returns up to 2023

I also submitted a verified Instagram page with timestamped posts from this Dec to as far as 5 years ago

Yes just do a paid mail and let them know the CAC website under maintenance isn’t your fault and that shouldn’t have affected your application. Sorry about that. Let the paid mail be well detailed and try to work on those reasons. Decision will be overturn hopefully

Our 3 months payslips
Wife’s bank statement of £2000 after direct debit of house rent.
Birth certificate to show link between her and mum
Wrote a letter for fully responsibility. So inlaw didn’t submit her statement but just her port.

Same here, did mine on the 20th, got a mail that my application has been transferred to UKVI. And based on the tracker, its currently awaiting decision from UKVI.

Do you have details for VFS refund? I can’t find any where on the site that indicates refund requests.
The 1st payment I made, left my acc but we didn’t get a biometric/appointment.
I had to pay someone else to use their card for the second payment.

No, I don't think so.
I had this issue in my first application; what I did in my next application was to do an excel sheet on which on wrote out all debits and credits 50k and above.....explaining what it was sent or received for......then the particular money entry that led to the rejection, I also wrote a note to refer and explain it, even though that entry was no longer visible in the next 6 month statement I submitted. I'm sharing as a guide to you or anyone else in such scenarios.... God bless

I had filled that I would visit for 10 days. I put that my brother-in-law would sponsor with £2500. My budget was £1 because I had sponsorship and my brother-in-law had said he would cover all in his invitation letter, flight, feeding, accommodation. If its of any importance, I'll like to add that my brother-in-law has German citizenship but has permanent resident status in the UK.

The and airline seem fae cheaper but I hear I'll need transit visa....please advise, do I apply for a transit visa? How long does it take to be out?
Has anyone also done medical insurance, how is it done?

Congratulations on your visa approval! Have you tried Turkish Airlines, Kenya Airways or RwandAir? Turkish Airlines was about 1.7m the last time I checked and Kenya Airways and RwandAir aren't more than 1.5m for a round-trip flight.

Would you mind if I ask how long you are planning to visit London, how much you budgeted on your application and your monthly income/disposable income, which led to a visa approval? I intend to submit my application next month, so this will guide me on an appropriate budget to use for my application. Thanks.

You know the answer already.

The govt had to provide housing because the person is either on universal credit and gets housing benefit or placed in asylum accommodation pending the determination of an application.

Either way, your invitation will more likely damage the person from Nigeria's visa application.

Yikes, sorry. Pls, can you give me a timeline and procedure for your 'dragging...'

1. Which channel did you submit your complaint through (email, online, paid mail?) and
2. How long did it take to get a response on reconsideration
3. How long before this current refusal letter

I'm considering if I should do a fresh application because of the timeline that come with appeals

Thanks for this. There's no UK option here and the other one is still switched off. I have sent an email to UKVI to escalate the issue but they're just giving generic . two weeks and counting since they confirmed a decision has been made and then just radio silence
