Please, is it true that the residence permit is only valid for a year and we need to show proof of fund again to extend it?

Yes, but the nature of proof of fund varies for different states. You maybe required to show a bank statement that reflects the amount of money needed (In this case you can get people to send money into your until it have a balance that correspond to the needed sum, print the statement and return their money) or just have a job contract. But some foreigner's office would require that you reblock the .

The oga patapata of them all is for someone to do a declaration of commitment "Verpflichtungserklärung"....in which case you can even ask for a two or three years residence permit extension at once.

Acquaint yourself with the peculiarity of your jurisdiction and plan accordingly.

I have a challenge and need some advice on what to do. I have received ission offers from two cities in : Koblenz and Bremen.

Bremen is in the winter semester, and classes have been in session for over three months. However, I received a late arrival letter from the course coordinator.

I prefer to study in Bremen because it is a more populated city, and I also hold a European truck license, which I can use to start applying for jobs since the city has a seaport. My concern is the potential visa complications due to the semester already being underway.

Given this situation, I am considering using the ission letter for Koblenz, which starts in the summer semester, to apply instead.

My question is: Is it safe to use the Bremen ission letter along with the late arrival letter, or should I opt for the Koblenz offer?

The late arrival letter demonstrates to the consular officer that you're still expected to arrive as soon as possible. It is definitely acceptable and safe to still pursue your preferred destination with the late arrival letter as long as other ing documents are in order, since you're applying from abroad

Email the embassy in the UK ask how long does it take to get an appointment. That way, you can do your calculations on when to book and go for your interview.

All the info required is detailed here:
https://uk.diplo.de/uk-en/02/visa/university-studies-2449178

The most important is the proof of funds. EUR 992 for each month of stay, for a maximum of up to 12 months.

Bremen is a better option, it's a big city and it's close to Hamburg the second most populated city in . The only problem Is accommodation, just start looking for accommodation before you arrive.

Hello house,

My friend just graduated with a third class in Geography. She wants to pursue a higher degree ( is not her first choice but she wouldn't mind it). Her ideal view is a switch to tech (Computer Science or Cybersecurity), but she wouldn't mind sticking to anything Geography.

she wants to know what her chances are with getting ission and what schools should she explore? Should she also consider bachelors if she's going to go the tech route?

Hello everyone,
I hope you're doing well. I wanted to ask how many pages are typically ideal for a motivation letter when applying for a visa. I'm not applying from Nigeria, and the embassy hasn't specified a page limit.
Thank you in advance for your responses!

Congratulations for graduating with a third class it is definitely not an easy journey. THERE IS A SCHOOL FOR EVERYONE REGARDLESS OF YOUR QUALIFICATION/CGPA.

Now here is my two cent:
1. Your LOM should be unique and it should have home ties.
2. Go for school without ission restrictions. Heidelberg University, University of Bonn, University of Freiburg etc are easy to get into.
3. Do your research use daad.de or mygermanuniversity.com

Wishing you all the very best. ❤️💡

Two pages is the standard.

A page is usually enough to state your case. Two, at most, if absolutely necessary

My names ain't arranged the same on all my documents, so I swore an affidavit stating that they're all for the same person. Is this all I need to do?

Also, will an affidavit suffice where there's no birth certificate?

Hello. Does anyone know if attending a University of Applied Sciences is better than attending a University?

You can't (at least for public institutions), and private schools cost about €10,000 year. These are the causes:

1. Assume you received the highest possible third-class grade of 2.39/5.0 in geography. You're applying to a highly competitive program at any public school. Your equivalent in German is 2.96. Most programs appear to have a minimum of at least 2.5. In the German scale, 5.0 is equal to 1.0, hence the sequence is reversed. Grade-wise, you have no chance.

2. In , computer science is a conservative program. In other words, you must have taken at least theoretical computer science, mathematics, and other courses for your bachelor's degree. German universities are very strict (no need, as your GPA won't be enough, by the way), and you won't meet 20% of the standards.

3. Taking into the first two points, I can assure you that no public university will accept you. Your only choice is to search for institutions with a minimum ission score of 3.0 for geography kind of courses which is difficult to locate for public universities

Use DAAD.de, and filter. Good luck.

They're just a little bit more practical. But make no mistake, there's no university prestige in like US or UK. Germans care more about the practical experience, that's why the ausbildung program is highly valued. Focus on getting itted

Heidelberg, freiburg? Really? Even with 2.0 German CGPA, with a computer science bsc, it's extremely competitive to get itted to those two schools. Not to talk of their computer science being competitive and conservative. His CGPA is 2.96 on the German scale, which is far from the minimum, and his course work disqualifies him already.

Heidelberg needs at least 50% of the degree programme must be in computer science and the Bachelor’s thesis must be 100% from the degree programme in computer science. Evidence of an above-average Bachelor’s degree must provided with a minimum grade of 2.3. if he had the maximum third class, it's 2.96 on a 1.0 minimum , or 3.23 if it's 1.5 minimum .

The same applies to University of Freiburg. He needs GRE, plus anything below 2.0, just forget getting itted. And it's also conservative, so no chance at all.

His best bet is to look for schools that have a 3.0 minimum CGPA for geography. He has a difficult task ahead because very little school are available, and German issions are not easy as before

An affidavit of change of name is an additional requirement to prove your point. It does not stand as a birth certificate/age declaration.

An age declaration is needed where a birth certificate is missing or vice versa per the requirements.

I suggest you look up the visa checklist.

Thank you, it appears I have all I need. Maybe my language was misleading.

I see a primary school certificate. I've never imagine that one for an MS. Thank you again.

Hey guys,
1. I applied early feb 2023, I read it take over a year, please what’s the suggested time for me.

2. After searching on daad.de, I applied via uniassist in November and I just saw a message that it was accepted but not processed which means my 4-6 weeks has not started counting, I asked for refund as the school application closes 15th Jan and uniassist uses 4-6weeks hence I haven’t applied to any school yet.

Any suggestions for schools without uniassist still open for summer. I studied Demography and social statistics, I have skills in data analytics if relevant…..Helppppppp!!!!

I don’t want a situation where I have an appointment but no ission. I might cry 🥲

3. When converting CGPA to German grade, do you use 1 or 1.5 as the lowest grade.

4. Please I need the link to the WhatsApp group for more updates

Bro, minimal summer schools with issions open are available. Those open that use uni-assit are practically gone.

Go back to daad.de and search for courses in your field query for summer ission and see which ones are not on uni-assit. With the rate ADs were issued in the last 2 weeks, you'll get AD in March, which means there's no time. Be prepared to get private school ission at this point
