hi, please i would to ask if IELTS was part of the required documents for the pre nursing program of Brandon University? What is the required score? I will hopefully be converting to domestic student before I commence my study. If I'm given an ission, is it part of the ission requirement to apply for a study permit immediately?
Ielts is not needed but the program is competitive high GPA is needed for second year! As you will be competing with other students for second year spot.
But less competitive for domestic students competing with international students!

Hello house,

My friend just graduated with a third class in Geography. she wants to pursue a higher degree and Canada is her first choice (not the only choice). Her ideal view is a switch to tech, maybe a post-graduate diploma in computer science, but she wouldn't mind sticking to anything Geography.

She wants to know what her chances are with getting ission and what schools should she explore? Should she also consider bachelors for the tech route?

Hello. Please does anyone know if I can upgrade two 23kg baggage to 32kg or it's just one I can upgrade on Lufthansa. Also an idea of the cost.

Thank you.

Congrats!!! I just came back from Ottawa

Hi all,

I will be arriving in Ottawa tomorrow, 27th of December as a student.

Is there anyone that will like to connect with me? Also, I am a Data Analyst and I don't mind any lead that can get me my first job in Canada

Lastly, I need student accommodation in Ottawa. Max rent should be around 700 cad. Thanks

I'll advise you to reduce your luggage to 23kg and use cargo to ship the rest. It's more affordable than paying extra for an upgrade.

If you are single, then you could look for colleges in Canada that accept 3rd class for courses that PGWP eligible though it will not be easy since competition will be stiff.

The other alternative is to look towards UK which will be ideal if you are travelling alone.

Also wait for other house to chip in their thoughts and advice.

All the best.

You need to program the end in sight when taking your 1st step.

Like someone said, 1st thing 1st is to look through the pgwp list for the courses you are looking at. Geography plus IT based related course for College which is in Canada PGWP are Geographic Information System (GIS) or other related that are in high demand

So get to that list and from the answer you can trace your program options.

Thanks for your response. I sent you a mail though. I read one of your posts where you mentioned that doing a certificate course before getting to Canada will help immensely when you eventually get to Canada. Please what course can I do online? I’m in healthcare. I beg you to respond to my email so that I can explain myself understandably to you.

Please do we need PAL for study permit application for Masters in 2025?
Most schools are not talking about it
MarksmanD: 12:13pm On Dec 28, 2024
Yes. But I don't think they have gotten full information from IRCC yet on how to proceed. My guess is, since all PAL expires on Jan 21st, anyone who applies after would be needing it. IRCC needs to be clear on this.

Good morning house. I was once here about 3 years ago and I know a lot would have changed about Canada Study visa.

I'm here to learn so that when my 5 year ban is over, I will be able to take up the challenge by myself with all the knowledge I will be gathering from here.

Thank you all.

How is asking the main reason for his IRCC 5-year ban an insult?

Do you think every ban is the same and misrepresentation is of same reason nd class?
Do you think every ban can easily be overturned even after 5 years by just reapplying?

I guess you are ignorant about bans and how they can affect your next application even after 5 years, depending on the main reason for ur intial ban.it doesn’t guarantee an easy path to visa approval

I see I’ve gained such a reputation. 😩😩🙆🏾‍♂️

Firstly, shame, insult, guilt, and the need to be right are often associated with feminine behavior.

Can't we all just get along?

Secondly, why are you personally offended by my post?

Lastly, the truth hurts sometimes so regarding 'stylishly yab,' what have I ever said in this group that isn’t true?

I am not responsible for your feelings and reactions to the way the truth might feel.

I can't stop laughing.

Can anyone ever yab me? I have heard more than enough and everything sounds as music. I used an agent who ended up using a fraudulent bank statement for me. I had already gotten a Precedural Fairness Letter before I got wind of it. It took almost a year after I replied the PFL before I got banned.

I embrace all insults as I will be concluding the ban in September 2027. All I am her to do now is to learn the updates of applicatio and know schools who will accept me when I'm back to applying myself.

Thank Flowmama you are wonderful, nobody can ever kill my shine. The ban was just a delay to make me explore more of Nigeria, Canada is just playing. I'm still going there.

No one is insulting you in this group.

Sometimes, people like Flowmama may not appreciate how facts are presented and might react emotionally. I understand that hormonal imbalances can influence reactions, whether in males or females

For your next visa application after the ban period, I have two suggestions:

1. Consider pursuing a Master’s degree in a high-demand field in a smaller city This could strengthen your profile and improve your chances. (My personal option) Also when applying for Visa your SOP must be very good as in very Very good.

2. Seek assistance from a licensed Canadian visa agent
due to your previous visa history.

Your visa case would be very difficult to run on your own

Avoid "Facebook visa agents." Nigeria currently has only six licensed visa agents recognized by IRCC.

You can search for one here on the Public - College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants

https://.college-ic.ca/Public--EN/RCIC_Search.aspx

Just select Nigeria as the country and choose anyone from the list

Wishing you all the best!

I really appreciate. I actually appreciate people like Flowmama as most times many people throw shades that are demeaning and could mentally disturb some people who get emotional easily.

People like me really don't get moved by anything again. What's the worst that will happen that hasn't happened. I'm glad I'm here to share my story.

For everyone going through this ban situation, it's never the end. It can only make you stronger. Smile at the difficulty and challenges and keep moving. We will all get there. I'm back here for good.

And I really appreciate the warm welcome.

Don’t fall for emotional manipulation. The person asking for the reason for the ban is asking a valid question because it needs to be addressed in detail in your next application. This is different from someone who applied for a U.S. visa with a different name and date of birth, then later applied for a Canadian visa with a different port that has his real name and date of birth and got banned. Even if such a person reapplies 100 times after 5 years, they will keep getting Canadian visa refusals until the U.S. issue is resolved

It seems you have an issue with women or feel threatened, which explains your juvenile posts about hormones. You’ve probably had to defend your personality countless times, which is likely how you came up with the name "amnotapervert."

You seem to enjoy exploiting others' challenges to flex your superiority. For instance, the last time someone shared their struggles with asylum, you wrote an essay dissecting their situation. Do you genuinely derive satisfaction from acting this way? My post interrupted your usual approach, which is probably why you’re suddenly attempting to sound reasonable.

For the record, you’re not the one funding anyone’s immigration journey, so there’s no need for your unsolicited, condescending advice.

Flowmama, you are a wonderful woman. I really understand your points. Negative comments or superiority show is common everywhere which is why I'm not bothered. Though it is also the reason why many will never come out to share their story.

Go to Quora, you will meet terrible comments even curses just to prove their point that whoever got banned is fraudulent, bad and be completely condemned into the lake of fire.

I have been there and I understand perfectly well.

But it's all good. We are still standing strong and we will never fade.

Let's keep the community flow with great updates and continue to assist one another.

Let's put hands together and make it happen for each and everyone. I can't wait to start see PPR stories once again

Firstly, I laughed, but I’ll answer your question.

Question: "It seems you have an issue with women or feel threatened, which explains your juvenile posts about hormones."
Answer: You’re speaking from a feminine perspective, allowing your feelings to overshadow the facts I present. I share statistics and reliable sources about factual matters. If you don’t like the truth in my posts, kindly ignore me.

Question: "Someone struggles with asylum."
Answer: I provided statistics and figures from the Canadian government’s website on the success rate of asylum claims from Nigeria. The problem seems to be that the data doesn’t align with your expectations. Unfortunately, facts, numbers, and statistics don’t cater to feelings.

Question: Do you genuinely derive satisfaction from acting this way?

Answer: As a data engineer by training, I’d say yes—I rely on data and logic to approach discussions.

Question: "My post interrupted your usual approach, which is probably why you’re suddenly attempting to sound reasonable."

Answer: Jesus Christ, I’m delighted you think so highly of yourself.

Question: "For the record, you’re not the one funding anyone’s immigration journey, so there’s no need for your unsolicited, condescending advice."

Answer: It seems the real issue is that you’re not where you want to be in life, so projecting your frustrations onto me feels like the best course of action.

To clarify, I’ve only shared factual information about:
- Asylum acceptance statistics,
- Facebook visa agents, and
- Life as an immigrant in Canada.

The responses you provided lack coherence with my comments. How does exploiting people's issues relate to whether or not you're a data engineer? And how does reminding you that people are funding their studies equate to me projecting frustrations onto you?

Let me remind you of your post about Fulani14, where you explicitly invited him to share his issues by saying, "You can share your issues here..." Only for you to turn against him once someone encouraged you to take a particular stance. Your word " People like you are the part of the reason IRCC keeps making things more difficult for other Nigerians coming after you" why? Cos he shared his story like you advised?

You know exactly what you're doing, so stop misleading people by encouraging them to share their personal details.

Things has really changed here, the vibes and all…I ed when I started my PPR journey, and got my first refusal, since I was not the one that applied directly.

I had to start doing my research on how to apply alone and the NL house was very bubbling and instrumental, and how how a fellow NL, gingered me one morning after she got her PPR to reapply again after my second refusals…even when I was about leaving 9ja, she guided me as she had arrived 🇨🇦 before me.

But, all I can read here now is bashing and bashing…the vibe to help one another is slowly fading.

Regardless, on how it’s going here now…I’ll still share my PPR and Landing gist, when it feels right.

Canada is a great country and I’m glad to be in one of the best cities with the weather conditions close to that of 9ja.

#Success to everyone, who’s PPR is yet to be approved and if you’ve been refused, and you believe Canada is for you… refocus and refire.

Happy Holidays my people ✊🏽

I am on the road so my reply will be Short 😜

Oh yes, I that case.

Here’s the gist: someone came to Canada and, less than a month after their arrival, dropped out of school, worked for a year, and now wants to go back to a lesser institution.

Why do you think IRCC implemented changes to the system? Starting November 8, 2024, students must apply for a new study permit by extending their current one if they plan to change institutions.

This change was introduced because people were gaming the system—mostly individuals from India, Nigeria, the Philippines, and China.

It’s issues like these that make things more challenging for Nigerians who come after.

You can’t game the system and expect no consequences. 👀👀

If we don’t point out what’s wrong, how will people learn?

You may ask Who are you to point out wrong well I am a Nigerian that has suffered from the past doing of people I share the same port with and I am judged for their past actions

I’ve experienced visa rejection myself and understand the pain that comes with it. However, that doesn’t stop me from addressing the issues at hand yes without filtering words.

I explained what the person did wrong—specifically being out of school for more than five months—and have always been consistent in my posts, focusing on:
- Asylum acceptance statistics,
- Facebook visa agents, and
- Life as an immigrant in Canada.

Can we please wrap this up. You both have dissected some issues which you both have addresses again.

I appreciate your efforts.

My question is this: even though I am going to have a challenging application after the ban, I need schools in small town who will accept my application easily.

I come from the line of construction but work under both Facility management and Project management now. ßo I need courses in relation to both fields.

Thank you as hear from my tutors

I understand you here... just the point that lady was saying is that if a person had to reveal his or her messed up detail..... even if we will condemn the act we can do it with more humane face so that people will be encouraged to open up next time. I observe you were handling it so cool until some of our comments reveal the gravity of the scenerio you now made that comments...Notwiststanding....lets that if people dont share their story out of fear of condemnation there will be nothing for us to remark on for others to learn from. You are doing well bro in of enlightenment I must confess about Canada so no one can dispute that facts.
