Dude wanted to make Batman and Lois Lane to become a thing with Lois falling in love with Bruce Wayne due to Superman's absence. To make matters worse Lois gets pregnant for Bruce. 🤦🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️

Which kind yeye story be that. Dude just shat on almost every lore that endeared these characters to fans and comics readers in the first place.

Let's say he has to kill Zod cos he had no choice...fine. But how come Superman lets his pop get killed by that tornado or whirlwind?? The Superman that I know definitely ain't allowing Pa Kent die that way when he could actually do something because of some stüpid sense of not being seen as a freak. The whole world be damned.

His Lois and Clark relationship was the blandest. No fvvking chemistry between two of them. Lois is even relegated we hardly see her and many people disliked Amy Adams portrayal.

There's many key characters Snyder casted that people h@ted. If almost all your major and pillar characters are divisive and disliked by many fans, how do you build a universe or hype for future movies?
Many people disliked Ezra Miller's Flash long before his brouhaha with the press.
Some sections of the fanbase wasn't moved or like Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman portrayal but she had a good story in her solo film and looks almost exactly like the character so no widespread complains from fans.
Cyborg with Ray Fisher wasn't convincing for many people. Fast forward to today how many people even talks about or Cyborg in that Universe. Many people basically forgot about him. We see people everyday clamouring for Henry Cavill. Peeps still talk about Ben Affleck's Batman in comparison to Bale and Battinson. Aquaman is still an OG, people compare the CW Flash ans Ezra's. Gal Gadot gets slated occasionally for her acting as WW. But no fvvking chatter about Cyborg. To show you how almost nonexistent the character is for peeps.


If I start listing the issues with Snyder's portrayal of the various DC characters, this thread go full and it'll look like I h@te him.

The way Snyder portrayed many characters and storylines you'll doubt if he's ever read the comics or if he's even a fan. He just twists the fvvk out of everything in his own image. Make it dark and gloomy and hopeless with a false sense of grittiness to make things look realistic.

He could have saved his father easily, and nothing would have happened. If he had gone for the dog instead of his father, no one would seen him doing his thing. Even if he had gone there without using his powers, the tornado would not have harmed him.

actually, Clark didn't let his father die, his father told him not to save him, that his time hasn't come and the world isn't ready to accept someone like him. Letting someone die, means you can save the person, but refuse to.

Abduleez mentioned that there's no way Superman is letting Pa Kent die, he forgets that as at the time Pa Kent died in Man of Steel, Clark Kent wasn't Superman yet, heck, dude was still discovering his strength, atleast it was pretty obvious he couldn't fly as at that time.

I honestly can't understand why some people hate Synder's portrayal of Superman in Man of Steel, as well as in Batman Vs Superman, I on the other hand, absolutely love it. The movies are great, I enjoy watching them.

There are times when I step outside the conventional Hollywood bubble and explore films from other parts of the world stories that confront real, horrifying issues. Iranian cinema, in particular, has always been one of my go-to choices for such profound narratives.

The sacred fig, also known as Ficus religiosa, is a ruthless plant that suffocates everything around it, including its host. This serves as a powerful metaphor encapsulating the essence of the film, how the Islamic Republic of Iran oppresses and suffocates its own people.

The story follows Iman, a high-ranking Revolutionary Court judge, his devout wife, who staunchly s the regime, and their two dissenting daughters. What begins as a family drama set against the backdrop of the Mahsa Amini protests gradually transforms into a politically charged thriller when the father’s gun goes missing.

This is a slow-burn film that demands patience, but the payoff is profound. The movie's themes transcend the oppressive Islamic Republic of Iran, presenting a universal conflict: the generational clash between the modern, progressive youth and the pragmatic, tradition-bound older generation. "The world has changed; the kids think differently," the wife remarks, to which Iman replies, "But God has not… nor His laws."

However, some elements didn’t sit well with me. The portrayal of the father as almost villainous in his defense of totalitarianism felt heavy-handed. Similarly, the notion that children have no right to protest because the old ways forbid it made the third act difficult to digest.

As someone still learning about Islam, I genuinely want to believe this faith values women. Yet, the depictions in the film and what I’ve observed in real life, paint a grim picture. In places under strict Islamic rule, women often seem to bear the brunt of oppression.

Despite its flaws, The Seed of the Sacred Fig is a powerful film and one of the best I’ve seen this year. I’m rooting for it at the Oscars for now, at least, until I work my way through the rest of the 2024 Best International Feature shortlist.

LOL, the trailer woke something in me that that has been on hibernation for God knows how long. When Kypto appeared, I cried tears of joy.

From the trailer, it's apparent that Gunn is leaning heavily into the comic aspect of Superman, it shows that unlike Snyder, he clearly understands the character.

I loved how it's different from Snyder's version of Superman. Snyder portrayed him as a god, which goes against what superman stands for - a beacon of hope.

Gunn cooked here definitely. It'd be nice to watch a good Superman movie again.
