Funny most if you see them at the train station in marina rushing in gra gra, you will be shocked these are they same people who criticized the project, bros, the way they rushes in gidigbo style is dangerous, both men and women, I can't let someone come and blow my jaw because I want to enter train to beat traffic, if you are not careful, they will injure you seriously, they run in with full force like elephant on full speed, I'm not exaggerating

A rail project that took 20 years to actualise is not a success story to boast about. By the time the rail project was completed new problem have occurred.

Just a reminder that we are not mates

A lot of regions are pulling Yorubaland backwards

We need to return to the regional system of government

Yorubas are visionary and development oriented

God bless Yorubaland

Yoruba's can move forward without blaming other regions.

That's money thrown into dustbin , but we all know what is behind this so-called investors. Land grabbing from locals)

chagory brothers and Tinubu family did more than this to take over Lagos lands (Banana island) and Eko Atlantic.

And today there are the most beautiful location and has highest ROI in real estate

My uncle invested in properties in the area and cashing out

What benefits will it be like other state who allow such to waste

They should please use Lagos Island(Marina) for this fantasy( wink) project as that whole area could do with a complete re-doing e.g Canary Wharf. There is sooo much potential for Lagos Island that's being held back by existing decrepit buildings and infrastructure.

$4.5B just for a film city In a 3rd world country is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard.

Are we planning to produce Hollywood films or anything better than what we have been doing by filming in locations in SA and UK?

When we have hunger and poverty everywhere they want to build a film city?

You are an absolute MORO.N if you think NIGERIANS are gonna shy away from projects because their country is “third world” (a stupid, outdated term).

You have “hunger and poverty everywhere”. Did your mumu head not read the tens of thousands of jobs that will be created by the project?

How do you tackle poverty if not by creating employment opportunities?

what stupid phantom ten thousands of jobs are u talking about?

By 3rd world country I'm talking about misplaced priority based on the volume of thst investment on a film city when I can be used to create a business hubs or develop agricultural sector.

what does Nollywood need a $4.5b film city for? Many people have invested in Nollywood and it is even oversaturated and plateaued.

More jobs in only one or 2 sectors will not fix the economy and will create an imbalance and even add to inflation. u nitwit

Instead of them to bring Investors in Agriculture/Poultry and fisheries ,Large Massive Fertile Land stretches across the Nation .

Misplaced Priorities.

Nigerians Needs Food , It would boost Economy when we have Abundance and Also Export. Employment and Food Availability
Why don't you bring them instead of crying and complaining everytime

You SW guys have allowed Obidients to turn you into tribalists.

This is not you, man.

Yorubas are nationalists. Patriots.

Awo, Beko, Gani, Fela, Soyinka, Tai Solarin, Ige, Falana.

You’re bigger than this tribalist stuff. Don’t let IPOB and Obidients drag you down to their level.

Thanks for the advise sir. I really appreciate.

Beautiful , other states should follow suits by emulating Lagos state

Check my previous posts for cheap gadgets on Xmas bonus
did you see the name idahosa there. It's an film city being develop by a Benin indigene in partnership with Singaporean firm. Lagos govt here is just an enabler - they need land from the govt and that's all. You Yoruba folks need to understand that strangers drive development to a city and stop being tribalistic and stop fighting other tribes living in lagos

WILL YOU SHUT YOUR ROTTEN LIPS.

Oh sure, you, a faceless dunce on Nairaland, knows more than the investors what is good for Nollywood.

After all the $4.5 billion was just picked up from the floor to invest in any hare-brained idea that came to mind.

Stupid, brainless idiot off the street who thinks he ‘knows’.

Abia that is a clueless state

Imagine coming up with a budget of over N500bn for 2024 and only being able to do an IGR of only N22bn from January to September while hoping that the rest of Nigeria will raise money for them through FAAC

Even Osun and Ekiti state had higher IGRs than Abia
What do you understand by IGR? Tax people until they cannot eat so that they can die to collect N5k($3.2)?

Most unfortunate is the fact thay live larger than life in your penury

Clown. Goodluck in in investing such in Nollywood. I don't blame them I blame Nigerians who have their priorities upside down in a failed state.

Nollywood can never talk about the realities Nigerians are dealing with just fantasies.
