Chrisfaco: Don't build yet, except u have additional income coming in. the house u live in does not bring in inflow but expenses and the feelings that own it. If u sink that 15million do u have the hope of making more? if yes,...then invest the money and use other sources to complete the house. 6 Likes 2 Shares |

Please I need advice on the safest and best way to invest 50 million naira. Are treasury bills safe? With no risk? How many percentage can I get ? Thank you.

Francis8999: @Francis8999, there is nothing like investment without risk, hence it's preferred we used the term low risk. All investment has one form of risk or the other. The degree of the risk makes professionals to categorize investment into three: Low risk (Tbills, commercial papers, Money market fund etc), Medium risk (Bonds, Fixed income funds, balance funds, etc), and high risk investments (Stocks, equity mutual funds, etc). So for you, since you are looking for a safe and guranteed capital investment, Tbills and Money market fund will be your best bet. Returns currently are between 20 to 24% Chat me up if you need more guide. 7 Likes 1 Share |

Kindly recommend a good dollar fund. Unitedcapitals has refused to increase their dollar fund rate. It's been 5.29% for more than a year now.

The way the naija government will collapse on all these things you call investment will shock you. The country's ressources are being embezzled at the rate faster than the speed of light... 1 Like |

When you're living in a house, it's actually more of a liability. Here's why: 1. *No rental income*: Since you're occupying the house, you're not generating any rental income from it. 2. *Maintenance and expenses*: As a homeowner, you're responsible for maintenance, repairs, property taxes, and insurance, which can be significant expenses. 3. *Opportunity cost*: The money you've invested in the house could be invested elsewhere, potentially generating a higher return. 4. *Illiquidity*: A house is a relatively illiquid asset, meaning it can take time to sell and access the funds. While a house can provide a sense of security, stability, and comfort, it's not necessarily generating income or appreciating in value while you're living in it. Therefore, from a purely financial perspective, a house you're living in is more of a liability than an asset. Chrisfaco: 5 Likes 2 Shares |

IyaTola: The land on which the house is built is an asset more valuable than the house. 6 Likes |

IyaTola: What if a portion of the house serves as an office? In short it is both a home and an office, then it maybe an income generating asset not just a liability 2 Likes |

Lol... The greatest mistake you will make is to invest all your funds in a sinking economy. oluayebenz: |

I am here to encourage the new ones to shine their eyes. Truth be told, the fact that you made an investment mistake doesn't make defending the same mistake right. On the otherhand if you only invested using local currency, you are not really affected. There are bonds that matured 2 days ago but the cbn hasn't said a thing. The usual now is to keep investors funds for a month upon maturity and blame it on technical glitch. Someone/People are benefiting from these and the masses are the pigeons. excanny: Land is indestructible and both the house and land built on and occupied becomes a liability as far it is not generating income. 1 Like 2 Shares |

Emzedz: There was one last week (11-12-2024), base on the bi-weekly arrangement there will be non this week. The next primary auction I'm sure will be December 27 because of Christmas. You can always buy at the secondary market any working day. |
