ruphytelecom: RandomFellow: This is a good advice. I also noticed the same tiny white insects on one of mine too. I should spray it with diluted sniper when I get home this evening since I have sniper at home. |

Love800:May be it wasn't pollinated. Because a female pawpaw tree needs a pollen from male flowers to pollinate. And we have bad habit of cutting male pawpaw trees in Nigeria due to ignorance and superstition |

Have you tried using warm Ash? It's the fastest remedy for such attacks

maasoap: Proper solution is very important. I think the sniper is 1000EC (EC meaning Emulsifiable concentrate). Mix 10ml of sniper to 1 liter of water |
Mariangeles(f): 6:37pm On Dec 11, 2024 |
maasoap: Does that happen naturally? I ask because the pawpaw trees we have kinda grew naturally and well, and are already producing fruits. |
TheBillyonaire: 7:11pm On Dec 11, 2024 |
ruphytelecom: Unfortunately, nothing is organicall wrong with the papaya plants, if you planted them far away from concrete wall, they'd be thriving now, but the concrete secretions destroys phosphorous presence on the soil so next time do not plant them near the wall. If you have a means of uprooting them and replanting elsewhere, you will do nothing extra and the plants will recover. 1 Like 1 Share |

ruphytelecom: Nope, just like maggots shows up where there is putrefaction, the maggots are not the cause of decomposition natural in symbiotics chain to restore nature. |

That environment or particular land it's on isn't good enough for it, please try transplanting it properly to a wider and open area where it gets enough water and sunlight then use cold ash at least twice a week on the root (morning period) and cut out the sick trunks and leaves, if you have insecticide then fine apply as well and see the changes for yourself, thanks.

Love800:Yes, there are separate male and female pawpaw trees. How do you get male, when you see one or two, don't cut it down, let it be. And it can also grow in your sorrounding, not necessarily on your farm, it will also work as insects are responsible for its pollination
|
maasoap(m): 7:10am On Dec 12, 2024 |
ruphytelecom:It will work. I have killed insects on many occasions with soap water. But someone else suggested, may be those bugs are not the root problem, we learn everyday. TheBillyonaire: TheBillyonaire:What ing NPK fertiliser to supply it with Phosphorous? |
maasoap(m): 7:14am On Dec 12, 2024 |
Mariangeles: Yes, by insects. Pawpaw is insect pollinated. As long as there is male pawpaw somewhere nearby and the insects can fly from the males to the females 1 Like |

maasoap: You will need a lot of it for the entire lifespan of the fruit tree and the fruits will not taste nice. I have got pawpaw trees and all kinds of fruit trees in my garden, so I am not trying to impress you, just telling from my experience. |

maasoap: WoW! Nature is amazing, and generous too. Wait! Does that mean male pawpaw trees don't bear fruit? 1 Like |

TheBillyonaire: About how many fruit trees do you have in your garden, and what fruits are they? |
maasoap(m): 3:34pm On Dec 12, 2024 |
Mariangeles: No, they don't. Their functions is for their pollen grains to fertilise the females |
Mariangeles(f): 3:51pm On Dec 12, 2024 |
maasoap: Na wa O! We learn new things everyday. ![]() So, I could have pawpaw trees, but if they were not pollinated, they might not bear fruits, and it's up to nature to do that. Indeed, time and chance happens to everything. |
