It's a dicey situation. While criminals perpetuate their vices in tinted glasses and you'll still blame police for not doing their jobs should these continue to fester, the comfort of motorists who tint their vehicle glasses may be questioned by circumstances. More like security vs comfort, let's just beware we can't have it all. Particularly for a country facing dire security challenges.

And even if this rule is enforced, the rate of kidnapping will still not reduce, our security operatives are not proactive at all, can you not all commercial drivers and inform the public to only use the ed ones..

This is just a lazy way of policing and funny enough this rule will only apply to the common man, FCT is full of civil servants and while some use government car that comes with Tint, some that are not in service anymore and the s will still use tint as they are already used to it ..

It's just a lazy law simple ..na mostly people wey no get car go mostly am, them no go understand ..

And we are fighting kidnapping, they kidnapping with tint glass and no one will know, rob or rape inside a tinted vehicle and no one will know, you see this political class are useless I swear

It’s a common practice that people wind down their windows as they approach check point…
Criminals that want to shoot will shoot irrespective of tinted glasses.
If criminals want to kidnap, they can simply use vehicles like sienna and some spacious vehicles without windows at all.
In trying to catch criminals, banning tint is a counterproductive effect that will make life inconvenient for many innocent people and another avenue for police to harass innocent citizens..

I have my windows blacked out.

When i see the uniformed bandits on the road, i just bring down all 4 windows and drive like im enjoying the heat...i greet them, they greet back, i bring all the windows up and go on my merry way.

I will not remove the tints if the directive is not for everyone!

True sha, but the people kiddnaping 20 to 30 people at once don’t tint their motorcycle or vehicle. This is outdated method of policing. What the police should do is lobby to that police motor registration that they wanted to do, the policeman on the road should have access to the database of police motor registration so that with his phone or tablet he can enter a vehicle plate number and the complete details of the vehicle should be available to him in real time, na so dem dey do for saner climes. The police should pursue their motor registration platform.

In garki, they only check for tinted at night, I wonder why Abi them must do end of year

This was exactly what i recommended. The government has failed in providing mass transit schemes. If not why will people board a total strangers car? How can a whole FCT not have a proper mass transit coaches/vehicles. Somethings in this FCT are so absurd. In the same FCT, pederstian bridges have become markets. Everywhere is littered with dirts and refuse, there is an influx of touts and undocumented immigrants here. These are what the minister should address . Its not by fixing AMAC roads and installing street light. Every other sector should be activated immediately.

An average Nigerian will just want to get power soley for one reason, " To unleash hell on already suffering populace". As far as I am concerned your enemy is your brother who just got access to power in Nigeria. From VC's of universities, council chairman, Task Force chairman, the list is endless.

Protection against sun especially for some people with certain medical conditions (you can make more research to this claim)

It makes some type of car looks beautiful

It protect you against harassment from hoodlums if you are a public figure
