Thank you for your input. Do you think i should send bank statement as well? Because the one I submitted for extension does not cover the tuition for my new course, and since my family is applying for extension too shouldn't I show more funds? bullstriker: |

Hi everyone pls I need your input on what to do I submitted my study visa application on August 25. Biometric ed on the 28. Then I waited till October and my upfront medical wasn't so I sent them through email and it was updated October 11. Since September my eligibility and background is in progress. Thanks for your input. The bank statement I submitted for the extension didn't have enough funds to cover my tuition fees for this new program. That's why I'm think I should submit a bank statement that contains the full tuition fee along with my new LOA. Also, since I'm applying with my family, should I show more funds than just the tuition fee? Please advise. Thank you Predator188: 1 Like |

Realsabiguy1:If you have bank statement that shows more funds you should update that. If you are already working In canada in accordance with your study permit or your spouse is working with OWP,they will take the income into consideration that you both have means to yourself while in Canada.. Not necessarily mean you should have all the funds in bank statement before making extension in Canada. |

Hello @Justwise and other gurus in the house. I have a Bachelors and Masters Degree in a non-science course. Currently, I am planning to study practical nursing in a college in Canada. Is there any advice or heads up you have to give me? Thank you |

You should communicate with the school about the deferment, they determine that.

It won't be easy to transition from non-science to practical nursing because you don't meet the basic requirement to be offered ission. A practical nursing program in Canada often demands a foundational understanding of biology, chemistry, and mathematics, which was not part of your previous education. Research colleges offering practical nursing programs and carefully review their prerequisites. Many colleges offer preparatory or foundational courses designed for students transitioning to healthcare. Enrolling in one of these programs can help you meet the ission requirements for Practical Nursing. If the transition proves too difficult, consider other healthcare programs that align with your current qualifications, such as healthcare istration. Be prepared for rejection governorudeh: 1 Like |

The funds that are required are dependent on your tuition fee, but here is how to determine POF POF = tuition fee + living expenses (21,000CAD) + miscellaneous (3,000CAD) This is for a 1-year program. D4real9: |

Good day, everyone, Some of us may recall when I came here to ask questions regarding a study permit for my brother. We applied the first time and got refused. Then we made some improvements and applied again. He was denied, but it didn't sit well with us because we fulfilled all the requirements. We decided to opt for a judicial review, and everyone was praying. The court told us (through our lawyer) that IRCC had agreed to settle, and another officer would determine the case. We then got an email from IRCC asking for updated documents. Our lawyer was kind enough to stick with us through it all. He even provided us a cover letter which we submitted alongside the additional documents. Ordinarily, our contract with him expired when we got the settlement outcome, and he wasn't legally obligated to help us any further. But he did and guided us till we got the PPR! Now, my little challenge is where to tell my brother to submit his port. When I got PR back then, we used to get news of which VAC was faster. But I am not sure what is obtainable these days. Please, between Lagos VAC and Abuja VAC, which is the best one to submit a port after getting PPR for a Canada study permit? If you submitted your port recently, how long did it take to get back your port? School starts in January, so we hope to conclude this part as soon as possible. Also, I have seen the documents to bring along for the port submission, but I would appreciate your help with the list of documents as well, just to ensure we are not missing anything. Thanks so much in advance. |

Maria96: I see many international students sleeping in tents in the cold in Brampton, all in the name of meaningless protests. The rules are very clear: PGWP cannot be extended, and studying in Canada is never a guarantee of permanent residency. Until people recognize this fact and plan accordingly, many will continue to be stranded after paying those exorbitant tuition fees! 1 Like |
