The only people criticizing the decorations are Fulani muslims in Jos north and elsewhere who are not indigenes of Plateau state but want to take over the state by force through violence.

It was all-out madness. Nothing to do with religion. Though the antagonists were Muslims and Christians, it was ethnic-based violence. If you're in Jos North and you look like someone from jos South, even by your dressing, you're set upon. Jos north has a large Muslim population. The opposite was happening in jos south: if you look like a Muslim, even by your dressing, you're done for in that Christian- dominated area.
The Muslims were not doing it for Islam neither were the Christians doing it for Christianity. It was pure MADNESS fueled by ethnic bigotry.
Thank goodness, after all the madness of those days, there's some sense of saneness now. Though, I'm just wondering how the mainly young people who perpetrated the madness are dealing with their conscience now.
Violence of any kind involving taking of human lives is destructive to the soul. It takes a heavy toll on both the victor and vanquished alike. Take the ongoing isreal- hamas war for instance. You'd think it's all good for isreali soldiers given their upper hand in the conflict. Not necessarily, because there reports of thousands of them now battling ptsd. I read of an isreali soldier who said since his return from the war front in gaza he couldn't eat meat anymore on of having seen mangled human bodies of both side. War is terrible for ALL. PEACE hurts nobody.

Stop saying nonsense, nothing was ethnic based. It was purely religious based. And yes, Jos north has a good Muslim population, but they can't outnumber the population of Christians in the same Jos north.

Moreover, Jos north doesn't end at Dilimi, Anguwan rogo, Bauchi road, etc, Jos north is massive, and even if you dress like a pope in areas like Apata, Busa Buji, Rukuba road, etc, which are all the major residential areas in Jos north, nobody will touch you, but try that in the Muslim dominated areas and see. I know of a Yoruba Muslim woman who was chased out of her area at Yan Tire cos she was not 'Muslim enough'.

And before you say anything, I am Jos through and through, a berom man, born and brought up, spent the first 20 plus years of my life in Jos before moving, and I still go to Jos every December, like I will go again in a few days time.

Muslim have significant population in Jos nor but Christians outnumber them by far. The only thing is the fact that the Muslims occupies the part of the centres which many people think they are larger in Jos North. That's my LGA

The plateau State government has decorated almost all the major roundabout and junctions in Jos, Plateau State in the spirit of Christmas. While alot are criticising it the work, citing that there are major needs the citizens need and not decorations, others are celebrating the gesture.

This is the worst Christmas for me. No family, no money to even do anything whatsoever.

You are a child of destiny, after that incident person no go ever kill you.
You were extremely lucky wow! They were burning house and when the occupants ran out they will either throw them back into the inferno or butcher them to death with machetes. Man's inhumanity to his fellow man.
