I wiuld have loved to finish my programbutcould you believe masters in Englishin my school is a three andhalfyears program
Zihno:

Aren't those expensive? I don't think they build the prerequisites into the programs if you haven't taken it already.

If you can afford it, go for it. Even I got into an ADN program as everyone was telling me to switch to nursing but after considering everything, i'd rather graduate from my Masters program and hope for the best.

Those areas are nice areas but if you are single look for shared apartments. It will save you a lot of money

Hi guys,

Please, I will appreciate it if anyone knowledgeable about this can reply.

One of my relatives immigrant visas is on processing. We received a below message even after everything is submitted, now, we are not really clear on how to specifically attend to this. There's no any family member that can stand as a sponsor again here.

Instruction received:

" The income reported as stated on form I-864, I-864A is insufficient to overcome the public charge grounds of inissibility for visa issuance. To avoid delays, an additional Affidavit of Form I-864 from a t sponsor may be submitted. A consular officer will decide if you meet these requirements at the time of the interview. Note: You, as the sponsor, and any other sponsors household and t sponsors, must provide updated or additional evidence for the applicant to present at the time of their interview such as: Other income, Assets, Proof of current employment. You can continue to documents to CEAC up until the date of your visa interview "

My question, is it also possible to attach bank statement of the sponsor showing savings to that can cover the remaining fund required?

And, is there anyway we can CEAC?

This petition was filed in Dec 2022 and we are only waiting for this Mama interview date in Lag.

@Taal17, @Aestake , please guys

Thanks
It mustn’t only be a family member. Any body willing to sign the form can combine with your family member to meet the income requirements

Hi guys,
I am at a cross road, I am currently doing my masters degree which I have two years to complete. The thing is that I applied for nursing program and I got ission. Right now I am confused on whether to complete the degree program before nursing or abandon my degree and continue the program.
you can transfer credits from current program into the nursing program, that way you have fewer classes to take

Good day everyone.

I really appreciate this Wonderful trend.

Please I kindly need people advise on choice and best place to study in the US. I am planning to apply for a masters degree in the USA. I have experience working in the Oil and Gas Construction sectors with over 6 years. I have worked both in Nigeria and Kenya.

I am skilled in Project Planning and Scheduling.

So , please I need people in US to guide me better in which part of US to School, where I can easily get a good work after schooling.

Thank you so much , I really appreciate your guidance and advise.
Apply for PHD . In most schools in the US you don’t need a masters for PHD and many a fully funded meaning you can work and get paid while schooling. If I had see your post earlier I would have advised Rice University in Texas . Free application but applications for most PHD programs close December 1st so you have to plan for next year

fafsa/pell grant or student loan might be your only option now. You make more money as a travel nurse when you graduate and pay it off. Focus on the big picture

Please guys, does anyone know how long it takes to get your card "Green Card" after entering the States with your immigrant visa? I know the timeline might be different from state to state, but I will appreciate it if anyone can share their experience with the state of Indiana in particular, or any other states.

Thanks guys
there is a stamp they will put on your port and that will enable you to work until the physical card comes in . Can’t the name again but I think it’s 11 something… can’t

Thanks bro. I'm considering that and also getting to know where to shop for household items especially Naija stuff when I settle down. I'm an indoor type who prefer to manage his food at home.

All leads are welcome 🙏

Hi, Welcome in advance (lol). I live within the DFW and your areas of choice are quite cool. Arlington/Duncan is not far from downtown dallas which also connects to other parts of the city and the airport.

I saw a post where you asked about food purchase...I want to assume you mean African foods?

The 2 main food stores (we have quite a few though) are Southwest and JTC, there is one in Arlington if I am not mistaken. You may want to google it too. Also loads of restaurants where you can all your favourite.

Welcome to the city of the Cowboys!

Lucky you, wish I know how to cook Nigerian food. Nigeria food stuff stores are all over Dallas and Houston. They even hAve farm locations where they buy live goats to kill and share and vegetables too, though for vegetables most people use spinach which are readily available in Walmart and every neighborhood stores. Search for Nigerian food stores in Dallas on Facebook and Google . You will find many but if you don’t I will reach out to my friends in Dallas for their phone numbers

Call the school help desk. They will be able to direct you to their records department on phone who will put you through on the equivalency they will accept from your current education . Ask them every question you can. Americans are not like Nigerians they are open minded and will be happy to give you all the answers to help when you call

I have been practicing within the telecom space in Nigeria for over 16years. My major skills are Optical transmission engineering(DWDM, OTN, Subsea cable operations) and IP Networking.

I am planning to relocate to USA soon with an immigrant visa/Green card. While waiting for my visa, please i need some advise on how to prepare myself towards getting a good job when i arrive. What are the key certifications i should have? Should i start submitting job applications now before i arrive USA? How do i make the job search? How do i build my CV to USA labor market standard/requirement?

Thanks in advance for the help. I am a family man with children, all of us are expected to travel. I really want to prepare ahead of time to enable me meet up to our bills.
