Hello beautiful people of NL,

I drive a Nissan sunny (Almera classic), the car has been working perfectly well but started giving some issues for the past couple of days now, I was driving one morning & all of a sudden it stops responding when I press the throttle pedal, it jerks like there is no fuel in it & it went off, after few seconds I cranked it & it responded & drives normal again.
The next day it stops responding to the throttle pedal whenever I rev, I would leave it for a while & crank it again, it will respond for a while & again it won't respond to revving again, but it idles very well it just respond intermittently to revving.
i was advised to change the throttle body (aka injector mouth), it works & drives well for about an 1 hour plus but again the problem still came back.

Pls the car gurus in the house help!!!!
Could it be the throttle pedal sensor I need to change this time around?
I need Ur expertise on this problem.
Again I drive Nissan sunny a.ka. Nissan Fashola or Nissan sunny.

Thanking U all in anticipation

Scan the car, Nissan is known for sensor wahala. Replace all the former changed parts. A scan will point you in the right direction

How can you change fuel pump and not service injectors.dont u know that fuel pump with injectors are doing team work.alaye better go and service injectors ultrasonic way..budget 5k. If not, rewire go scatter your engine complete.a throttle body will only need replacement if it got burnt or it entered inside water while working.alaye go service injector.also check if u get exhaust leaks.

What is the engine type inside your car? Or snap pix for me to look at it.
Kindly also check and read this thread.

It is your fuel pump.
You need to change the complete pump system.
Just replace the complete pump and issue will be resolved.

Your engine QG18DE is the same as stated in the other thread given to you above. If you scan the vehicle and cam shaft related code come up, the consider the advice stated in the other thread. If there any you require, let me know.

Before you do anything, go and scan your car and bring the codes. It would be something to do with your fuel air stuff, ie,I could be a throttle body issue, Fuel pump, fuel filter, pedal position sensor etc

Good day beautiful People of NL,

I want to use this medium to say a very big thank you to everyone that contributed to this thread, y'all are MVPs ....

Haven tried to fix the issue i earlier complained about, i am happy to tell y'all that i have eventually fixed the problem.

First off, i changed the Throttle body (aka Injector Mouth) & the Fuel pump completely but the problem still persist, i serviced the Fuel Injectors just as a Nairalander suggested though it will move for a couple of hours and still went back to the problem.

Out of Curiosity, i went ahead and carryout a research by meeting some so called auto electricians aka rewire to ask for solution but they couldn't give a remedy to the issue.....

Last weekend i woke up early in the morning and i felt i can fix this problem by my self....out of curiosity i went ahead and dismantled the Air intake hose, MAF sensor, O2 Sensor, CAM shaft and crankshaft sensor, coolant sensor and i used an electronic cleaning fluid with high pressure air to clean these sensors, sun them and reconnect every thing.

Lo and Behold the vehicle came back to its original operation mode... grin grin grin

I drove the car for several hours and it worked fine cheesy cheesy

What i suspected to be the culprit from My observation is the O2 Sensor, since i have been using the vehicle i have never for once try to clean the O2 sensor as it was too clogged with carbon and unable to operate properly which made the vehicle to misbehave.

Should incase any NL is having similar issue, the first thing i will advise you look into is the Air filter, always make sure is clean, secondly your fuel pump, also make sure is working & it giving the necessary pressure & Lastly, the O2 sensor, that O2 sensor can also make ur vehicle behave the way mine does before i finally rectify the cause.

Once again i want to say a very big thank you to y'all, u guys are the best!!!!
