Sad to have lost, but a good showing from a "cobbled together" team, who most are just playing together in the National team for the very first time.

That woman didn't like Ohale's face. Nothing anyone fit tell me.
That first yellow for Ohale was uncalled for. She had already carded the player who did the foul (which was controversial too) so carding Ohale too was rubbish.

That ref wanted some attention.

One great in the game doesn't suddenly mean she didn't have a horrible half. I personally think playing her with Imruan wasn't helpful and hope to see how she does playing on the right. But the fantastic assist doesn't remove the fact that she had a horrible half.

Well, our ranking won’t be affected by this loss since the French are way above the SF in the rankings…

But it’s a bit worrisome that, in this century, the Super Falcons have ZERO wins against a top 10 national team.
But have ed 2 wins against top 20 teams (vs Japan at the 2004 Olympics, who were ranked 13th at the time of that tourney; and vs Australia at last year’s World Cup, who were ranked 12th)

Seems too harsh honestly. But on the other hand she may have said unsportsmanlike stuff. Anyways the card means nothing. Right?

If its a FIFA sanctioned friendly, then it might have an impact.

Thank you. That yellow too got me irritated. Yes, I saw the replay and Babajide's left hand did make with the French lass' face but it was by no means intentional as Babajide was taking a normal "guarding stance" when challenging for the ball.

It is like me getting a yellow for breaking my fall with my hands. Na wa.

Ohale's statement was in response to the first yellow. Whatever she said was obviously in frustrated response to the first rubbish yellow she got for just normally protesting a call against her team from a distance.

It won’t have an impact. Yellows and reds from friendly matches are not carried forward to the next friendly or competitive match.
