I may not always agree with MURIC but I'm with them on this one. I suddenly noticed that instead of the GOTV decoder tuning into channel 1 which is their default channel, it switches to channel 100 a Christian channel. They've made the Christian channel their default channel now and you can't miss it once your decoder turns on. This is completely unfair to non Christians, if I was a Christian I'd be just as annoyed. They operate in a multi religious country yet they're forcing a particular religion on the people. They're still lamenting decline in subscribers, they've not seen anything yet. I've kukuma ditched their DSTV over a year ago, now it's time to ditch their GoTV and focus on smart TV fully. Imagine you turn on your decoder and it takes you straight to a Muslim channel instead of the default channel where they their channels and programs. Won't there be a national outcry of Islamisation IMMEDIATELY? It's been over 3 months now that GOTV has set their decoder to tune into a Christian channel once you turn it on and MURIC is just reacting yet Muslims are the intolerant ones.

You are right on defaulting the channel to 100 but they have corrected the issue. They had downtime last month which affected their channel coverage and upon fixing the issue, a lot of things happened in the process. I found it annoying too then when it defaulted to 100.

Why not every tribe go their separate ways so north will continue with their religious faith?

Firstly, a lot of people commenting doesn't seem to understand the main grouse. I'm very much aware and didn't like it either and there was no way one could change it through reset.
The default Channel initially was the last watched Channel, but lately, it was changed to the Christian Channel which even though I'm a Christian, I found it awkward and kind of strange whenever I turned the decoder on and the default channel isn't the last watched channel nor the GOTV default channel 1. But I can confirm that it has been automatically reprogrammed to GOTV default channel 1 perhaps due to the complaints which in my own opinion was very reasonable and genuine.

I don't think this man is normal at all. What stops Muslims from stop subscribing to gotv? Is anyone forcing them to use their money watch what they shouldn't? Can't a Muslim float a satellite tv station for Muslim interests only and all Muslims subscribe to it? The person can even make it free for Muslims or Muslim ullamahs can sponsor it for free viewing for all Muslims. What he ought to be campaig for, he is not campaigning for it.

Did gotv ask of ur religion when ing? If no, I see no reason for this complaint. There are Muslim channels on Gotv, if u don't understand how to change the channel, then call on our children to do that for u. Gotv is not funded by the federal government, so u can't be threatening the company because u are a subscriber. I don't even understand why u take everything with provocation.

Wrong. MURIC is complaining that GOTV has made a Christian channel it's default channel. This means, the first channel you see after your decoder has booted is a Christian channel, after that you have the freedom to change to any channel of your choice. It also means that when your subscription expires, the default channel which is free to air will be the only channel active.

I am a Christian, I use GoTv and I can confirm that this is true. I am however of the opinion that even if GoTv had made the default channel a Muslim channel, I will still not give two flying fvcks because I have the freedom to change the channel. There is no coercion here

You guys always take things too far.
If gotv likes, let them show juju programs on all their channels, they should have the right to do so and you have the right to subscribe to them or not. Why must this be an issue.
