The Presidential Compressed Natural Gas Initiative has engaged popular Afrobeat artist Tuface Idibia, renowned comedian Basketmouth, lifestyle influencer Ola of Lagos, and Northern musician Rarara to promote and encourage the adoption of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) in Nigeria.

As part of their efforts, the influencers visited various CNG value chain facilities in India, including conversion centers, refueling stations, gas distribution hubs, cylinder manufacturers, and industrial sites.

Tuface expressed his excitement about the initiative and acknowledged the skepticism some Nigerians have ing CNG. He attributed this skepticism to a lack of awareness but emphasized the importance of being open to learning the facts. According to him, once people understand how safe, affordable, eco-friendly, and efficient CNG is compared to traditional fuel, they should be more willing to embrace its usage.

The trip is designed to give Nigerians a clearer understanding of CNG’s potential by showcasing India’s successful integration of CNG into daily life. India, one of the world's largest adopters of CNG, has effectively utilized it across various sectors, including commercial transportation, domestic applications, and industrial operations.
