Good evening, experts. I am considering the BRUHM BLACK AC BAS-18ICQB INVERTER SMART WiFi Tech (2HP).

It uses R32 freon.

Electromart link: https://electromart.com.ng/product/bruhm-ac-bas-18icqb/

Please, what's your opinion on this AC unit? Thanks.

people often say they have a good brand of ACs but most of them are non-inverter s. I can't say because I don't have any experience with their inverter ACs.

Alright. That's helpful. I think with this, I'll go on ahead and pull the trigger. It's a way better deal than the LG Artcool!

Thank you!

I will prefer the Royal inverter as against Bruhm. The few people i know that used it didn't speak highly of the brand

Thank you. Fortunately, I haven't yet bought it because Electromart said they don't have the 2 hp version here in Abuja.

Guys for a standard spacious selfcon room which should I pick between LG dual inverter 1 hp or a non-inverter regular 1 hp AC? Or recommend other brands. BTW I use a prepaid meter. I just want my room to be comfortable.

Panasonic, if you can afford it. It is usually priced above other brands and known to draw light more. But the durabilility, efficiency and easy of maintenance is notable. If you chose to, settle for made in Malaysia models. Cheers

Well yes, but not as durable as Panasonic in my opinion. LG, Midea and Hisense are alternatives I have short term experiences with.

I read that Panasonic is the best from nairaland so I bought a Panasonic AC made in Malaysia, but I am not liking my Panasonic AC that I bought because every 6 months it starts leaking from the thinner valve. I am tired of always calling a technician every 6 months. A technician told me to change the kit from white hose to black one but yet the problem still persists.

Chief does the AC chill very well to your satisfaction? If yes, then I would posit that issue you are experiencing is an installation issue which can be corrected by the right hands. This is my 1 penny suggestion.

The AC chills very well. My installer told me that if the light gets low then the AC vibrates in a way that disturbs the valve end. I don't think it's an installation issue but I don't think my installer is right either.

Now it's established it chills very well. So the issue as I can see is the water leaking .
You've also advised that vibration disturbs the valve which causes water to leak.

My informed solution open to your ultimate consideration is

1. Get a great quality AVR that is proven to supply & maintain a steady voltage, so that your panasonic will be feed a steady and reliable 220v. This should eliminate vibration in the first instance.

2. I maintain there is a potential installation concern. Water outlet hoses is not securely done will leak overtime. Please have your installer take his time to firmly secure the water outlet hose from inside unit to the outdoors.

It is also worth ensuring the indoor hose taking water outdoors is at a sloping angle. This will help water from the indoor unit effortlessly find its way out with help of gravity. (You may have to ignore aesthetics at the worst).

Let us known how it goes. Best wishes

Please which brand of inverter AC has the lowest power consumption.

Buy thermocool 1hp quantum, it consumes 830 watts (or 900 watts on turbo)

It chills like mad if you use it in a bedroom, you can also combine it with standing fan for freezing effect.

I got a Glamstar 1.5hp AC recently, it chills fine on generator power but doesn't cool well with public power supply so I'm thinking of getting a stabilizer for it. The person I bought it from recommended this Qasa 2000W surface mounted stabilizer but I'm not really sure if it'll work fine.

Please I'll appreciate your if you've used the stabilizer before. Other opinions are welcomed too.
