Lmao.... You don come again with your jibes when facts fail you. I been consuming tons of wildlife documentaries since I was a kid mate.

While great white sharks also rape their own, it's very rare. It ain't common practice like Dolphins that will plan, orchestrate and kidnap, then r@pe till they're bored. They continue r@ping for days non-stop. Dolphins even r@pe other species like seals and try the same on humans. How depraved can one species be? If na Apes dey do this one person for no too surprised. But ordinary fish? grin in fact Hollywood veteran actress Demi Moore has a close encounter with the finny kind. 😂😂

Sharks definitely don't r@pe humans. Good luck with that with a dolphin pod.

Fun fact: Male dolphins d!cks are shaped like hooks..the original Captain Hook. I'm sure you don't want that thing hooking into your innards for maximum efficiency. grin grin

A big fat lie. If Sharks were more intelligent I'm sure the attacks would be very minimal. One thing most of you average shark h@ter don't know about sharks is that they almost always mistake humans for prey. Not as if they decided to hunt you or you in their menu. Great white Sharks have poor eyesight especially when the target is directly above them. It's their acute sense of smell and hearing that augments their acute sense of positioning.

This is why I feel the super great vision Dolphins and Orcas have also plays a huge role in them having no casualty against humans. They can easily differentiate you from anything else. They're probably the most intelligent animals that's why Orcas don't attack humans in the wild. They know we not tasty and not on the menu.
You left hippopotamus, electric eel, jellyfish, pirahna and went for friendly dolphins. You are not a just person

We have already settled on this forum, how Oscar awards are handed out, especially any of the Big 5....they have a certain pattern, and they don't really care for over ambitious scifi flicks, i saw only 5 minutes of Emilia Pérez and i knew even the director of that will get best director, ahead of Denis Villeneuve, and i didn't even need to complete the movie....the flick had that Oscar bait spice..

Interstellar was the touted as one of biggest scifi project, post 2010, and a sure Oscar magnet, only for Christopher Nolan to lose to Alfonso CuarĂłn for best director, with a movie where he had just 2 cast, and 50% sound on đŸ˜©.

See even Oppie coming out trumps at the Oscars this year, was cuz it was unbelievably too good to ignore, and not many movie with said Oscar spice on offering last year.....

So Dune II will do well in the artistic and VFX awards, but any of the big 5, will be a tough ask...

Well, I'm indeed that old, but never watched that Dolph Lundgren film. Granted, I was very young when that film was originally released. Hmmm, it's on Prime Video, I might give it a watch.

Emilia Perez......8/10

It's a dramatic tale about a drug cartel kingpin who wishes to escape the violent world he lives in and live his/her real self. In order to do this, man undergoes a total gender realignment surgery to become a woman. Now a changed woman, she struggles with the ramifications of her life-changing decision. The past doesn't always remain in the past. And that kicks off a chain of events that spells tragedy.

It's a musical. I disliked the parts where they just burst out singing as a form of exposition during a serious scene. Makes it somewhat cartoonish and too Bollywood-esque. That's my peeve with the film.
Thank goodness it wasn't for the majority of the film, but other musical performances felt more organic and understandable as well as enjoyable when it matches the tone of the scene. Some of the songs are really top tier, especially the end scene.

If you're a homophöbe, this ain't for you. It's not highly sëxually expl!c!t but the themes and programming might put you off.

There's a major plothole the movie failed to address, but to some extent can be negligible to further the story.

It's a good movie but I'm not buying the message Hollywood. 😅 I can already see how so many leftists champion this movie. Watching it now reveals why so, for obvious reasons. The LGBT_ community are so rallying around this film. Fielding stars like Selena Gomez and Zoe Saldana also reinforce its cinematic claim.
The tr@ns actor (Karla Sofia Gascon) who portrayed Emilia Perez did a fine job, I must confess. Will easily pick them for Best Actress Oscar nomination. Kudos to Selena Gomez too, she gave a good of herself towards the third act. Could also get ing nominations shout if well campaigned.

Overall, it's a really good movie. And possibly amongst the best so far this year.

exactly, almost every successful Hollywood actors think too highly of themselves - they're to stupid to realise they dont have the same influence they once had now in 2024 - no one actually gives a fck abt their opinion anymore. For example this 2024 US election where all the celebrities where bending their ass for Kamala Harris even all the Avengers casts - they later realised people were less likely to vote for her because of them. they all should just shut tf up and do their jobs

Zoe Saldaña's back must hurt from carrying this from start to finish....

I went into this completely oblivious to the fact that it was a musical, so imagine my shock when they started singing at intervals! But surprisingly, it didn’t bother me as much as I thought it would. The musical numbers were actually good.

That said, the movie itself is a mess, narratively and thematically dead by the end. A ruthless cartel boss feels he’s in the wrong body and employs the help of a lawyer to help him transition. After getting her new skin, she decides to be a good person, leaving her dark past behind. We’re supposed to forgive her atrocities because she transitioned. She even sets up an NGO to find missing people, people she likely had a hand in making disappear in the first place, because being “good” suits her new persona better.

On one hand, it’s an ambitious project, even a fresh idea in some ways, and an important story to tell. But it needed to be told much better than this. The movie ultimately lost me in the third act, trying to regain traction at the end with a clichĂ©d Mexican cartel standoff that comes out of nowhere. In the end, the movie offers nothing of note to either the alphabet community or fans of Mexican cartel dramas.

Zoe Saldaña is blameless in all this. Her performance was flawless, but she was let down by a clunky script. If I were the studio, I’d push for her as the lead from the flick for award committees. I can see why the film might appeal to some, especially movie awards jurors, because it has this faux ethos that makes it seem like much more than it actually is. But it didn’t fool me. For a film rooted in identity, it lacked any real sense of it. Zero substance.

My biggest takeaway was the musical numbers and I detest musicals. So that says a lot.

It’s typical of Hollywood to always insert themselves in the culture for them to feel better about themselves and fool their fans so I'm not surprised they are still doing it today. In this anti-capitalist "eat the rich" era, they are trying to get in with the culture to show that they care which is an honest gesture because I think if you have a voice to enact change, you should use it but the gesture itself is capitalistic because it's completely disingenuous and this isn't a new thing, it's been happening since the stars of the silver screen era. Do I need to bring up Jane Fonda's Vietnam war antics that gave her the nickname Hanoi Jane yet she refused sign an ad by fellow anti-war activist because it criticized one side of the war or John Lennon and his animal rights activism whereas baba values his fur coats than Yoko Ono?

People could swallow their fake activism back in the day even though they don't follow what they preach but not today with social media announcing their every move. Almost all of them released or continued their lifestyle brands this year from Reynolds to The Rock and if you go into the production of these products, you will find shady dealings from child labor to flouting labour laws abroad to make them cheaper etc, I how they panned Beyonce for singing about capitalism when she benefits from it, she released 4-5 products this year alone with most of them exposed for using child labor where these kids are just paid with water same with Rihanna and her Fenty line yet they will get on social media to advocate for change. The only thing they owe us is their art and nothing more because if they truly cared, they will try to understand the struggles of the everyday man by living our lives but they are cooped up in their mansions living their rich lives while benefiting from the capitalist culture they are fighting against.

Say what you will about Tom Cruise but he has really grown as young Tom was obsessed with the spotlight and wanted everyone to know everything about his personal life and thoughts only for it to backfire because of his cult association but he was smart enough to follow the money by keeping mute for years which is gradually changing. He's been criticized for keeping mute on world issues and only showing up when he wants to sell something, his team must be taking note because he's getting back into the spotlight like ing the roster on the closing ceremony of the Paris Olympics and ing Simu Liu when he accused white people of cultural appropriation but he's taking time not to overdo it because he already has the scientology cult and their antics and his gay rumors ontop, he's not going to add progressive SJW to the mix

Sorry for the essay but the hypocrisy is just too much with these people, at least we know what we are getting with a dumb ex p0rnstar like Sylvester Stallone but these ones wearing progressive skins when they are far from progressives are truly snakes and majority of them voted for Trump because they know they will get richer with him but gave out the fake woke persona for TV platitudes

Magnolia.......8.5/10

It's a movie about a random day involving random people with random events and how each person's action shapes up a random individual's life and how connected they all are.

Top notch storytelling. Different People leading their normal lives but all coming to intersect and shape up another's life in a single story.

Tom Cruise was really captivating in this.... playing what could be termed an Alpha Male coach in today's world and how his past has shaped up his adulthood. You'll learn a few things being a dominant male and how to "Seduce and Destroy" women and the very important message of how to "RESPECT THE CÖCK". grin

This is my first Paul Thomas Anderson movie and it was a great experience. Top tier film.

Trump favours the rich. In fact, at the presidential level, you favour the rich first before you do anything for the common man.

Keep spouting Trump propaganda. You will soon be buying Trump holy water.

Democrats and leftists are two different things. Even at that, most billionaires didn't take a side publicly in this election because the left hates them so why will they advocate for a party that don't think they should exist. I personally voted for Trump (not proud of it) but let's not come out here to pretend the democratic party isn't the party of the middle and working class Americans

For a documentary diving into a serious subject that's throws both human privacy and personal security up for grabs, this felt really tame. For a documentary made by HBO max and Ronan Farrow, it receded my expectations. Where's the spiciness and zest he had for his award winning Weinstein's story that spearheaded the "me too" movement?

I expected much more from Ronan but this felt like he was working on eggshells and praying neither of them cracks which I understand because he's investigating pegasus using it as a backdrop for all spyware, the same Israeli spyware that was used to ambush fellow journalist Jamal Khashoggi so his safety was on the line but still he decided to make this documentary as a journalist not as a citizen. I honestly expected more

Same here.

It's just like how Great White Sharks always gets bad rep but people ignore far worse notorious w@nkers like Dolphins and Orcas just cos they are pretty.

They just hide under their big box office numbers and the billion dollar films reinforces their delusion; whether the film was good or bad doesn't concern them so far it makes money.

Dolphins don't look scary enough to make an intimidating villain and let's not forget the fact that Orcas are also known as Killer Whales
