zimunachimdi:
Good day everyone.
Please my spouse and I needs guide urgently.

A company is asking my spouse which employer sponsorship visa he would be seeking if successful in the job and any specific requirements and timelines.
We need a guide in order to select the best employers sponsorship visa to PR pathway bearing in mind his visa expiration in March next year and a positive assessments.
You provide no information about your spouse status, so a bit hard to be precise
VISA 186
1. Direct Entry Stream -
*Minimum of 2years working experience.
*Most be nominated by Australian Employer.
*Occupation must be on relevant list of eligible occupations.
2. Labour Agreement Stream
*Employer must have a Labour Agreement.
3. Temporary Resident Transition.
*Be nominated by employer
*Must have worked for employer full-time and minimum of 2years.
*Must be of TSS, 457 or bridging visa A,B or C.

VISA 482
1. Short Term Stream
* Bringing in workers from overseas on short term for 2-4years.
2. Medium Term Stream.
*Bringing in workers where employer can source for workers locally,
*Workers can stay up to 4years.
2. Long Term Stream.
* For skilled workers nominated by employers under Labour Agreement
* Length of stay up to 4years.

NB: You can be eligible for 186 permanent resident after 2years on 482 subjected to eligibility (if your occupation is on the skilled occupation list) or any other route such as 189, 190 or 491. For 491, you'll have to wait another 3years to be eligible for 191 (permanent resident)

Visa 494
1. Employer Sponsored
* Enables regional employers to address labour shortage by nominate employee where employers can't source locally.
* Must live, work and study in a designated regional area.
*Eligible for permanent resident 191 after 3years.

2. Labour Agreement Stream.
* Employer must have Labour Agreement.
* Live, work and study in a designated regional area.
* Eligible for 191 permanent resident after 3years.

PS: Only Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney Metropolitan areas are not considered as regional areas.

My opinion, 186 comes on top as it's a direct PR, I will go for 494 over 482 if your employer is outside the 3 big cities due to
On 494, you will not require any further assistance from your employer to get 191, just live in a designated regional area while on 482, you may fallout with your employer, working conditions may not be favourable, business may burst or your services maynot be required thereby living you hanging as some employers maybe unwilling to sponsor you for 186 after years on 482 (so many unpleasant stories of people on 482).

Thank you sir for your response.
As for his status...he is on visa 500 and not eligible for post study.
He has a postive assessment as HRM with 7 years experience.
The nominated occupation with this company will either be disability worker or community service worker. If he goes with community service worker, he can claim some overseas points.

During the interview, they mentioned something about going into Labour agreement...
The company is located in a regional area and a branch in Sydney.

Please does the 186 requires assessment and the Labour agreement stream, how does it work?

I have also read so many unpleasant stories about 482 but it avail one the opportunity to apply for other skilled visa unlike 494. Canberra has nominated my occupation five times this year with 70/60 points while his is thrice with 90/100.
We were planning on moving to Canberra next year February/March before this opportunity came.

If we go for 494, our assessments will be of no use again but we wouldn't mind if it is the best option for us and smooth ride to PR

Happy New Month, my people!

Please, I need your expert advice on the best way for me to migrate to Australia based on my profile. I’ve read through some very helpful threads here and done my own research, and it seems like the 189 visa or the 491 (family sponsorship) visa could be good options for me.

A bit about my background:
Please share the strategies and materials you use for your PTE have email you
Please respond

- I have a professional bachelor’s degree (M.Eng) in Aviation Transport (Aircraft Engineering) from a university in Latvia, Europe.
- My direct experience in this field is limited to a 6-month internship, which I did in my final year before graduating in 2020.
- For the past 6 years, I’ve been working as an IT Analyst, and Technical Manager in Tech companies.
- I’m 27 years old.
- I have a brother who is an Australian citizen based in Perth, Australia.
- My PTE Academic score is 90.

I’m thinking of writing my Career Episodes for an Aeronautical Engineering assessment with Engineers Australia (EA), but I’m not sure if my lack of work experience in the field, apart from the internship, will affect my chances. Do you think I should go ahead, or are there other routes that might be more straightforward or guaranteed for me?

Congratulations on 90 PTE
Please I will appreciate any advice or help you can provide in of materials and strategies used
Thanks so much, and God bless!

Hi Boss, I have had a look at the link above and I am genuinely interested to relocate to Australia via this route. Please, could you put me through on how to find employers or where to find job vacancies in this sector?
I will be most glad to get a response from you. I am currently in the UK and on post study permit.

I feel everything is important and would nt like to reduce the words, should i go ahead and submit it like dat ? is there a penalty for exceeding the benchmark given?

As long as you have 72 months with COMPLETE document for those 6 years. (no evidence is missing for any month/year)
And you provide the 2 projects and 2 currency evidence, you are good to go

Hello house please I am in a dilemma

So I am in the pool and just thinking, I’m currently in a long distance relationship with a man and we intend getting married after I finalize my divorce from previous marriage ending of next year, my question is can I include this my current partner as a defacto relationship. If yes would pictures together and chat history be enough to proof our relationship?

Or is it better to file for him after I get PR, tho im scared of the long time it would take to process heard it takes up to 4 years. Please help. Thank you

Claiming de-facto when you are not living together is likely not going to be approved. Also chat history and pictures would not be enough. Anyone can put that together and claim they are in a relationship.

you are better off claiming your current status and applying for partner visa later. Not every application takes 2-4 years. it's all depends on the application and how it's assigned.

Good evening everyone.
Is there any social worker here who has gone through the AASW skill assessment process who can share their experience on how it works?
I currently hold a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from University of Ilorin, and I'm in the middle of my masters programme in Social Work, in Hungary. I wrote an academic IELTS with an overall score of 7.5, however, I had 6.5 in writing.
I currently have 4+ years of social work experience and I'd be happy if anyone can advise me on the subclass route I should explore.

I'll leave the skill assessment part to the seniors. My comment will be on the IELTS. You'd have to write another IELTS (General) or PTE (Academic).

What's the minimum needed band?
Australia doesn't work with band. they use the score on each section
at least 6 across each of the 4 sections (competent-0 points), 50 for PTE academic
at least 7 across each of the 4 sections (proficient-10pts), 65 for PTE
at least 8 across each of the 4 sections (superior-20pts), 79 for PTE.
