Even if I used a different moniker, you guys were eventually going to find out who I was anyways and I love the name Samantha.

We would but it wouldn't be this fast ..

I knew you said it's not your actual name .. but I do strongly feel it is .

What gives you the impression that I'm a woman?
Because the post was directed to women. The thread was asking only married women to state their regrets in marriage and to give advice to unmarried ladies.
So you that rush to post the comment, were you posting as a married woman or as a spinster looking for the advice?

A lot of people are running around the thread like chickens with their heads cut off over this MadamVanessa's comment lol.

Please that you do not actually know her motivations for marrying her husband in the first place. She might have been in a different state of mind then. It's like you somehow forget that people grow and change. The way she sees life now might not be the way she saw it then.

So you trying to judge her as if she planned it all out is just you making blind assumptions that are not accurate. I also don't see how her first and last paragraphs contradict themselves. Advising young girls to marry someone they're attracted to is a very sound and valid advice, even if she doesn't follow it herself. I don't believe that her statement about marriage not being worth it was intended to be a universal truth. It was obviously just her opinion.
Clap for yourself, the Defender of the Universe! In your tiny mind you have made a point. You who know her motivations for divorcing, oya tell us! Isn't it obvious from her post that she prefers to live a philanderous lifestyle?

Birds of a feather...

I could just tell from this response that you lack self awareness. You're the one who's been acting like an expert on human behavior, posturing like he knows her motivations for marrying and getting a divorce. All I said was that we shouldn't assume so much based on a few paragraphs read online. And if she prefers to live a philanderous lifestyle abeg what is it to you really? I'll never understand what it is with some men trying to climb the moral high horse at every given opportunity and pretending they're so clean all the time.

My biggest regret.

I married a man I couldn't control to do my bidding sad

I want to quit even though we are financially more than comfortable but he doesn't care about my emotions and manipulations.

You a man and you married a man? Because I can see (m) attached to your name.

Were you expecting me to stay single forever so that one day you can call me an evening newspaper?πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

And yes, I did went through it all... If you can carefully, last year I did opened a thread here on nairaland about that same person that shot my husband, but like always, some of you thought I was lying.

Anyways, it is what it is.

No no no .. you know that isn't the case.. Something was brewing, you know something that would have had you married but not to the Botswana guy... πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹

But the Botswana guy just had to sway you away .. but it's all good ...

I feel heartbroken talking about it .. but it is what it is ...

I kind of do not have a knowledge of such thread .. This is the first time I'm hearing of it ..

I'm glad you were not hurt physically though..

Like the other guy said.. pls have that guy arrested before he does something tragic again.

we, your Nigerian husbands wouldn't bare to lose you to some deranged fvck of a brother in law ... NO!!!!

He's a South African Sotho, but if he was to any male pageant, I'd advice him to represent either Lesotho or Botswana since both countries now permit dual citizenship...πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

The last thing I want is Home Affairs investigation on our door step...πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Anyways, my brother-in-law is now under police custody.

Oh great!!

You're changing trajectory of the discussion..

It's cool ...

You said he's south african sotho ..

You also said he botswanian and Lesotho ..

But since south Africa and Lesotho are two different countries nw ..

I'm kinda confused as to how he's a south African sotho ..

Yeah, about the peagant thing.. Which role did you play in the whole chindinma saga ??

Curiosity made me ask πŸ₯΄πŸ₯΄

He's a South African of a Lesotho and Botswana descent.

As for Chidimma, If I'm to be very honest with you, I've not been following the whole pageantry thing... I've heard some news here and there, but I've just not been invested in it... So I'd rather not comment on it, I don't want any unnecessary attention because I really don't have the energy for arguments.

Last time I was invested in beauty pageants was back in primary school when I still dreamed of becoming a princess one day... grin grin grin

And I'm really glad that the pageant is finally over because I'm honestly tired of hearing people telling us to vote for something some of us are not even interested in... I didn't even bother watching the pageants.

Marry who you're attracted to in all ways, desperation shouldn't push you to marry who's available and ready to do the needful. In a long run, you'll feel irritated and disgusted in whatever he does and nothing he does to please you will please you.

7 years now I have been out of marriage, and to be perfectly honest I have no regrets or whatsoever being a divorcee. This years of being alone has been the best years of my life. I am not going to say I inclined to celibacy these years, I do it, mainly to kill the urge but not emotionally attached to whoever is shagging.

To me, Marriage isn't worth it at all. It's simply overrated. I regret ever getting myself involved in this nonsense. I was probably naive then , I can't blame myself much.
