A Nigerian woman, Adejumorekeh Balogun has called on Nigerians and relevant authorities for help after allegedly losing her left eye in alleged domestic violence.

In a Facebook post on Saturday, November 16, 2024, the woman shared photos showing her battered face and swollen left eye, alleging that she has been in an abusive relationship with her husband, who she described as a beast, for 15 years.

“This is what fifteen years in an abusive relationship with a beast has cost me. My left eye…. Please I need help from the masses. Justice must be served, he knows I don’t have anybody that’s why he’s been treating me this bad. Direct line to call for more info 08167340977, you can WhatsApp too on the same line,” she wrote.

In another post on Sunday, November 17, she alleged that her husband and his family are threatening her over the previous post.

The entrepreneur added that she is currently in an undisclosed hospital.

“Pls share till it gets the right authorities that will help me. I ‘m helpless. His family and him are threatening me. I ’ve been hospitalized and they don't know where I am."

She also shared photos of the abuse she endured in the hands of her husband in December 2022, alleging that he did same to his ex-wives.

"This is Dec 4, 2022. This man has been a beast since we’ve been together his friends can testify, my family and friends can testify even his ex wives can be witness because he does it to them too. His family are telling my family that it has only happened once before. They’re threatening me to bring down the posts I’ve made on social media. I’m dropping this update to let you know that I haven’t gotten a particular authority to handle the matter , I’m counting on you all, he already told me I don’t have solid background and no one will come to my rescue. Now I’m counting on GOD,I must not Suffer in Vain,my one eye is already blind ,I deserve justice"

15 solid years? Life's tough and strangely enough, this story isn't complete and the woman know that.

If you can stand the heat leave the kitchen, but many are blinded in their so called relationships that they ignore the red flags just because there's an hopeless strand of the ab changing soon, many didn't live to even tell the story after while few are unfortunate enough to tell us what goes on.

She for wait for another 5 more years so he can kuku take her life. How van one stay in an abusive relationship for good 15 years, na God save you say na only eye you lose and not your life. People must learn how to let go when situations is getting out of control

Really? I don't violence in the home but the kind of verbal assault some women will give you can make you lose your sense.

This is the only point I would a divorce.....a woman should be able to endure any other thing but violence shouldn't be tolerated at all.....her family should go rescue her before they kill each other ....funny thing is men are even more vulnerable in domestic violence issues.

you never can tell till such temptation comes to you bro .........Humans are mere mortals and it only takes the grace of God to overcome certain temptations especially the ones that bares itself confidently before you.....

As a man, if you can't withstand it, just walk away......But honestly, it's not easy

This is one of the advices I always give men, don't wait till you are provoked to beat a woman before you do something about a hopeless relationship.

Look at how the man has been labeled a beast and some other simps are ing to castigate the man without hearing the other side of the story.

However, there is no justification whatsoever to beat a woman though some women can make your life a living hell. When you discover that the relationship is heading south, bite the humble pie and leave. Forget whatever people will say or the emotional blackmail, they are just setups to get you demonised.
