Oh Lord, protect our wives from such wicked and social media doctors that leaves pregnant women in the hands of nurses that do not care. I feel so much pain about this, may the Lord heal him of this deep wound

"When you marry a woman who cannot deliver naturally?" I wish I understood this statement. Are there women who choose not to deliver naturally? Isn't it circumstances that makes CS an option? Of course, aside from those woman who are woke and just want it. Your statement is so insensitive. nwirinedu: 24 Likes 3 Shares |

Basiljoe: No country progresses with people with your retarded mindset. You don't think that he owes it to his wife and family to fight for justice, or or maybe justice is a meaningless word to you? What about fighting the hospital in court to ensure this does not happen again to another person - you never know it, including you. I hate to hear opinions such as the one you are expressing here. It just shows lack of good sense of judgement. 7 Likes |

They were only trying their best to save her ..all this litigation or no litigation won't help. They should have done a proper scan on her to know if there would be any complications, seems they find out all that during the operation ...Condolences

Wonders shall never end in Nairaland. You made this kind of comment as a human being? As if it was of her own making not to deliver naturally. There have been countless happenings of women whose lives where at risk while trying to deliver naturally as they were advised to opt for CS but eventually paid with their lives. At least I know of one. She died while trying to deliver naturally like the previous births but this one got complicated and she lost her life because she refused to give consent for CS. Indeed the present generation of this nation has lost their conscience.

omoadeleye: It is called consent. You must obtain consent from the patient or whoever is acting on his/her behalf. You don't force treatment on people, you must receive their permission if they are capable or the husband in this case. The way you guys reason like people in the dark ages is scary. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Newlymarried:Take heart, bro, and may her gentle soul rest in peace. That said, if you have the means and determination to pursue justice in court, I encourage you to go ahead. While it won’t bring her back, it could bring some peace to the family knowing that justice was served. She, too, would likely feel content, wherever she is, knowing her case wasn’t ignored. Moreover, holding the hospital able could prevent them from carelessly handling future cases and risking more lives. This might not even be the first case of its kind there, but if someone before you had fought for justice, perhaps it wouldn’t have reached you. While some may advise leaving it to God, consider that your efforts could save others from suffering the same fate. 2 Likes |

Kurugu92: It is not about bringing her back. He cannot. Very sad for him, her parents, and children. It is about hospitals experiencing the repercussion of negligence. Continous litigation is what leads to policy changes, istrative changes, and adding adequate measures to forestall human errors in the future. Allowing hospitals and medical personnel to go scot-free today ensures more negligence tomorrow. 4 Likes |

If you have what it takes, please go ahead.. if I can use my connections to get you a lawyer. I would have. It worrisome, they were aware of the implications before going ahead on the C's, they just goofed based on the money involved. Those animals are just killing people.

nwirinedu: Brother, I find your statement rather insensitive. 'This is what you get when you marry a woman who cannot deliver naturally'? It doesn't surprise me by the way, given the average mindset of the Nigerian populace, especially those who claim to be educated. You do not even know the man or his deceased wife. You have no idea of the complications she may have had for surgery to have been required. And in what book did you ever read that Caesarian Surgery was a poor choice? Tell me, I pray thee, how to identify a woman who can birth 'naturally' on the first day of meeting her. You do not blame a man who has just lost his wife and has to cater for his son alone, for his wife's death while giving such preposterous submissions. You might just be the next patient in the hospital needing a surgery for your wounds. 6 Likes |

udemzyudex: I don't it's because of the money hospitals opt for CS. It's often for the safety of the baby and mother. CS is safer than virginal birth. |
