The only difference between hedging and closing trades is how it is reflected on the balance.

Why do you think many brokers/props disallow or frown at the use of hedging strategy?
Hedging could give you profit in a one direction trending market easily but when the market begins to go sideways, you will need a big bankroll to save your .

Everyone knows prop firms are not a sustainable business model in the long run. They spring up and wither without notice. The question is whether there is an opportunity for money to be made and the answer is a resounding yes. Every other thing is just smoke.
