The Nigeria Food and Drug istration and Control NAFDAC has conducted a major raid on wine shops in Mararaba Market and the New Nyanya and Masaka areas of Nasarawa State.


In a statement released today, the agency said the operation targeted counterfeit and adulterated wines and spirits, resulting in the seizure of products valued at over N41.2 million.



The agency said its Investigation & Enforcement team is actively investigating the importers or manufacturers behind these counterfeit drinks.

NAFDAC urged consumers to remain vigilant and report suspicious products to the nearest NAFDAC office for immediate action.

One man from that state brought four of those fake wines that taste like zobo and gave them to my boss when he was looking for supply contract.

The counterfeit diary products and beverages? The misleading information on diet sof drinks? Drugs regulations... Where we are they on that?

NAFDAC should get NASS to sponsor a law that hands down death penalty to people producing fake drinks. Anyone who sells fake drinks doesn't deserve to live in the midst of humans.
