The govt has closed eyes into this menace of “omo onile” for long. You would pay for land and for every stage you want to do anything on the land, they would be demanding more money and govt and society have both accepted this as the norm.

The govt needs to enact strong policy. If there is an issue, they should come to arbitration. Anyone that takes law into his hands should speedily be sent to life imprisonment. We need a strong deterrent here. People are always afraid to buy lands due to fear of things like this. This is so crude.

Normally the guy should be able to tell either the senator or house of rep or chairman representing that area to further his course but those ones don’t even know why they were voted into position.

Very true, just to repair leaky roofs they came and started demanding money. It is becoming a nuisance. And the local authorities are with them, if you try to arrest them it becomes even more violent.
