Good morning guys, I just woke up to a refusal letter today from IRCC. This is my first application. I have attached the reason for the refusal below.

I submitted the sponsor’s statement of tuning to over 23m. School fees of 9k were paid already. Investment certificate was also included. There was also land and business documents as well which i included as my proof of home ties.

Please can anyone help me on what the next step will be? Please. My school resumes in January and I’m wondering whether to apply again or just defer my ission.

I am seriously considering studying MBA in information systems and Management at International Business University, Canada.

I want to ask if anyone has attended that school here, I need honest opinions.

They are kind of the only university that offers masters in an IT related course that matches my available requirements, as most universities require a BSc in computer science which I don't have, I have BSc in Biochemistry.

It also ticks the box of PGWP and been able to bring in my spouse too.

What is holding me down is I need to get reference letter from my workplace to prove my work experience in IT but I just ed them and in January i will be confirmed hence that is when I can get the letter from them.

I also want to know if there are other IT course (Masters) in other universities that I can consider.

You need to show the sources of the fund in father' bank . If salary then show all employment related documents including employment/promotion letter and payslips etc. If business then show business registration documents and how the business generates income eg contracts, supplies, invoices etc.

They want you to show source of funds by your dad. So, you need to request for invoices, payslips, property sales receipts and every documents that your dad has in acquiring such amounts. I

I think you should wait for your GCMS notes to properly understand the reasons why you were denied. But from your explanation, it seems like you didn't document how your dad amassed his funds by submitting receipts, payslips and invoices. Then also for your home ties, I think you should state in your SOP that as a manager in your dad's company, you're already being groomed to replace your dad as the next CEO in his company and you're going to Canada to get the needed academic qualifications to give you the right knowledge to act effectively in this capacity when you return back to Nigeria to take over from your Dad. Do away with any work experience that doesn't tie you directly to your dad's company.

1. Yes, I'm unmarried. So I was only able to include my family as proof of home ties.

2. My sponsor happens to be my father

3. I only submitted his CAC documents (although it was ed late last year), his shares with one company he used to work with, i submitted property documents, survey plans also

4. Right now, I do a few freelance writing and design projects for individuals so I couldn’t really use this as a proper work experience since my work isn’t ed yet. But I however submitted previous work experience between 2020-2023 which was much related to my profession. Although I added that I was a manager in my dad’s company as his company was related to my field of study.

I had a lump sum of $14k in my , but I explained and attached receipts of how I got the money. As long as you explain how you got the money with evidence from the property sales, then a lump sum shouldn't be a problem. Also since your dad owns a couple of buildings, why don't you ask him to give you one as a gift of deed. Get a lawyer to draw up a signed document for it. So this property would serve as your home ties and a monthly income generation for POF.

If your son does not have any qualifications yet, then you have apply for SP for him, while your hubby applies for SOWP.
You will need to show enough POF still to cater for the family.
Your enrolment letter.
Your spouses qualifications docs
Your son's docs
Relationship docs- marriage cert, pictures

In that case you'll need to present copy of deed of Assignment prepared and stamped by a lawyer regarding the transaction showing your dad's name as the assignor and the buyer as assignee. The bank statement showing the buyer's name and the amount paid, copy of purchase receipt issued to the buyer by your dad and copy of the title documents on the land/property sold.

Car is a moveable asset bound to depreciate in value over time unlike land and building.
