My physical appointment for the blue card is tomorrow. I already got my documents approved via the online portal previously. They stated that I don’t need to come along with documents that were already ed, except for original documents like port, University certificate etc.

To be safe, I also obtained the following documents from the checklist on the official website: Letter of motivation, Signed employment contract, Evidence of previous employments, Courier envelope.

Besides the original documents requested, are there some other documents they may ask for that aren’t included in the checklist?

Please is anyone aware of the procedure for DNA test for family reunion? My sisters have a few name inconsistencies so we were asked to provide a DNA test to prove they're actually my mom's children. Does anyone know how to go about it properly? I called the embassy and they said something about booking an appointment but it was hard to follow what was being said.

I've not seen any recent update from anyone here talking about receiving their visa. Has the process slowed down so much or people are just not coming back to give updates after getting their visa 😁

Woww....they should update us naa. Atleast we can know what to expect and which timeline to plan with.

Please those that did their interview in April/May, have they received their visas? Atleast the rest of the month can use that as a timeline.

Hello all good day, My family finally had an appointment with the German consulate on the 24th of June but we are still yet to receive any updates as regards verification from all the people we used none of them have been called or anything like that and we have blocked 24K euros since then but no . I have reached out to the Auslander in my city but they confirmed that my son & husband's files are not with them. I have tried calling the German consulate in Lagos for weeks but they aren't picking up any calls, I've sent emails with no response as well. Please has anyone done their family reunion visa recently within this time period what is the status? I'm sincerely tired of waiting. It's been 4 months no information from the German consulate on our application whatsoever. I'm still house hunting and most landlords don't want to give an apartment for a family to a single person. I'm super stressed out. Please anyone with any information please share how this family reunion thing goes. Thank You.

I think they paused anything family reunion for now. Even people who don’t need verification have not received any information for more than two months now.
Maybe they have finished the quota for family reunion for 2024.

This is a funny question 🤣.

It seems as though you are not reading the comments on this thread at all. Your potential employer asks to an application that brings both you and your family to and you are second guessing?

The wait for family reunification from the responses on here is 2 years in total. So what are the odds? Will your employer initiate a recruitment and relocation process that would take 2 years to get you over there? Of course not!. I would expect that they would try a process that would fast track it.

So make your choice.

Hello there. Have you tried sending them an email? They respond better to emails. So since your family require Verification, it usually takes 6months or more. Btw why do you need a Block Acct. of 24k euros? That is usually not required for a Family Reunion Visa.

Is this the number you've been calling- +2342014621820? They answered this one two days ago but the calling hours are between 9am-11am and just Monday to Thursday I believe. I hope it works out for you guys.

Did you guys also try sending a message through the form? I don't know if that'll lead to them answering faster but it doesn't hurt to try everything

I see. Im guessing its because of your status in . From what i could deduce here on this platform, if the dependant is a Holder of BlueCard or Permanent Residency, the Family dont need Verification and invariably no need for proof of Block Acct. Because to get the Blue card/ Permanent stay, you have to be earning above 60k euros a year i think.
Btw since the Verification will take place, it might unfortunately take longer. But just keep sending them email every now and then.
