I have been saying it for years now that the SE is the most dependent on FG handouts and that they will never ever agree to return to true fiscal autonomy for states .
The latest Satitssnse data proves this to be very true with the SE having the lowest revenue generation across the polity. If you even considered that a huge chunk of the amount generated by SE comes from federal allocation you will see a more gloom situation. I also believe the north can generate more if they plug in the tax gap and solve the insecurity situation and open up their mining sector.
The data released yesterday confirms why you will never ever see anyone from SE calling for resource control for states because the same SE benefits more from the skewed sharing formula that is based on population and not productivity.
We in the south keep assuming it's the north and north only that will kick against a return to true fiscal autonomy for states but the SE is the region that has done more harm to state and regional autonomy since Ironsi's decree 34 and they keep alligning with the north to block any talk of true fiscal autonomy for states.
Igbos have only ruled Nigeria for mere 6 month and that was 58 years ago how can they stop the rest of Nigerians if they want true federalism?

SE have 5 states while other regions has 6 and some 7 states. Mind you, the generated revenue has been a result of FG's investment through revenue distribution, FG investment in mineral resources and many more. Buhari spent heavily investing in oil and gas prospecting in the North, and in future those investment will yield fruit and we will all come out to claim it is northern revenue. The same can be done for the South east. South East also need one more state, so they can get more revenue and invest more and earn more. That way, we can make a balanced assessment
No need explaining because they won't understand. Niger state is bigger than all SE states combined. Yet SE is compared with a region 7 time bigger or more in of revenue.

Yet, they want a break from Nigeria. Why don't you give them a chance to breakaway and see what they become in the years after.
I wonder why Igbo matter will always top the list on your agenda constantly.

Please don't mind that clown. That Igbos build mansion in remote and unproductive Villages mean what exactly other than a show of their warped culture, lack of critical thinking, misplaced priority and senseless value system that encourages men to go around the world committing the most abominable crime only to return to their village to floss and gain accolades and chieftain y titles from unexposed and largely illiterate Villagers.
Yorubas in contrast, once exposed and well-educated, don't listen to Villagers they know they have more exposure, skills, solutions provision capacity and education than. They try to educate, elevate and provide solutions for those folks not patronise them or pander to their backward ways. Yorubas are respectful and humble. They will go to their village and felicitate with all their folks there.
Some will even do what they can in their capacity to elevate their village of origin. Yet they will never go to their villages looking to oppress and impress villagers with cars and material acquisition because the Yoruba man is humble enough to know development is what is owed these deprived people Nigeria shuns, in preference for developing urban centres, not garish show of "I don arrive"
Igbos are clannish and individualistic. This is why they cannot build progressive and pluralistic societies and will never be able to. It is why they brag about individual wealth plus silly and worthless mansions that has no societally progressive value. It is the reason Igbos are the least charitable Nigerians alive who prefer to use wealth to make shallow statements rather than use such in altruistic ways to uplift society.
It is the reason, for example, why Awolowo provided free education and selfless leadership for his people to the extent that no Igbo leader ever, and till today, can wipe Awolowo's feet. It is telling of the mindset of Igbos that, despite their empty chest-beating, Igbo leaders remain the worst at misuse of public funds and dereliction of duty today.
Can you listen to your stupid self and tell me if you made any sense in your post.
