Go Down)

Aradel price should have stabilized by now and looking to revert. But I am suprised at those still selling down. @sunrisepebble, how many units does that Private Equity firm owns? I suspect they are the ones selling majority of the volumes

I can only imagine the frustrations of those who bought at N800+ and from the look of things, it may go further down.

Times are hard, money is not so easy to come by in the current situation of the economy. Investors are not just going to throw money around until they are sure of what they are buying. It is the reason it appears the market is indifferent to the many calls for bull runs.
Well, most people who bought high are averaging down already. I know someone who have averaged down to #540 at at yesterday. I wish he waited till today, it would have been cheaper.

they own 700m+. Honestly, avoid the stock for now

What is Aradel price right now?

Avoid Aradel at the present price. Don’t be misled by the lofty valuations of #700.
Aradel fair value will price is around 150-200 naira.

Yeah, there’s nowhere they can’t be used, as long as there is a time series of data points.

I know it can be used anywhere I just dont see the efficacy of using it with EPS

Smart money is taking position. Though I own more GTB than Zenith, Zenith is slightly cheaper at current prices.

I agree with you. Aradel is no where near the fundamentals of Seplat.

Aradel is a light weight and prices might dip more next week. Best option right now is to allow it bottom before buying.

Because EPS fluctuates from year to year, certain years may show a very high EPS due to factors like reduced interest rates or unsustainable revenue jumps. In other years, unfavorable events can pull EPS down. The idea is that an average will smooth out these anomalies and outliers. You’re likely familiar with this concept from stock movements; the same approach applies to physical quantities like temperature, humidity, and more.

Dividend investors in stocks with good fundamentals would enjoy it though

the question then becomes
What IF it doesn't bottom out ?
Isn't it better to use the laddering approach to enter the stock IF there is a common consensus that the business is going "somewhere" ?

Yes, that is what I have been doing. I have been buying 1,000 units every time it dips (10%).

We can't tell for sure if this will continue till ₦200.

that's interesting

However oil sector is just 5% of my sectoral portfolio allocation
So I can't buy so much
Total and Aradel is competing for that 5%

Cheers

Prediction is very much an art. Your valuation of GTCO, for instance, is also an art because you made assumptions to arrive at a specific number. You do have a number in mind that you believe reflects GTCO's value, right? How did you arrive at that number, and what assumptions did you make?

Applying concepts logically is always better than ignoring them (in your case saying it is futile) . Someone who doesn’t calculate and simply assumes GTCO is undervalued is likely to get burned sooner or later if they don’t know where to stop buying. This is just an example to illustrate my point.

It's likely to be short-term (if the Naira appreciates - USDNGN falls)
