The same thing happened to my wife in 2016...my baby became very weak...after which my wife had to be rush for CS.

After about few days the consultant was angry with them as to why they refused to inject her so as to aid her in giving birth.

They started talking rubbish. Not minding that they cut my baby with their knife when trying tk bring her out of the womb which consequently caused her an infection leading to itting her in the hospital for almost two weeks.

Advice:
Pls,be vigilant and ensure they check the babies heart beat to know If she is weak or not because I am talking from experience. There is a machine there that they can use to ascertain the heart rate.

Boys usually don't want to come out.. The doctor will induce labor, so that water you talking about will break.. Just get her something to eat, probably something with sugar. And let her use the bathroom.. She's not going to die.. I assure you.. Calm down and don't read negative comments here it would only make you afraid..

My wife was due for delivery on November 29 plus or minus 2 weeks. But about four days ago, she started having pains round her waist and back. The pain become severe and I had to take her to the hospital where the doctor said she is up for labor.. the pain is just there and nothing is happening, they say they won't inject.her as they are not too sure, because if they inject her and it happens not to be labor, then it might get worse.

She is tired and week, the worst is that they are not even checking her, when they finally did, they won't say any word to us.

Since four days we arrived, they said it was 4cm or just 4 something, don't really know what they call it. Up till now is still on the 4 and the pain won't go.

She has not been to toilet for the four days.

Your first paragraph is not 'correct'. I'm an all boys mom. And I didn't get to labor more than 4 hours each for all three of them.

The OP has good reasons to be terribly worried you know.

Inducement should have been underway before now. Four days in such pain is unimaginable to me really.

Sometimes they break out the water manually. That woman is already 4cm since 4days. Please monitor the fetal heartbeat. She might need caesarian section.

I don't believe a sane doctor would allow a woman labour for 4 days.

She's 4cm, due around Nov 29, she around 36 weeks, she's been in pain for 4 days not mild cramps.

What are they saying? They said she's in labor 4 days is a long time. Do they want to augment the labor abi what?Are they saying the baby is not yet full term? Does that hospital have a NICU if issues arise? Do they want to do a CS? What exactly are they saying? Why are they not communicating with you? They need to communicate with you.


'Doctor says she's up for labor and won't inject her incase it's not labour' doesn't sound like communication to me.


Are you in Lagos, if yes take her to any one of the maternal child centers around.

Preferable an FMC or Teaching Hospital closest to you.

The doctor came by 11 and checked her, and said its on 3cm while it was on 4cm yesterday. He said they don't want to force the labor as it will cause serious problem if it falls along the way.
So he said will should go home since we have been in the hospital for four days now, even though she is on heavy pain in her waiste and back..
It is the only general hospital we have around here.
