As I was coming from watching Arsenal vs Liverpool yesterday, I checked my pocket and saw 1K.

I decided to buy things to cook Oil Rice, instead of getting home to pick money and coming back again.

The woman told me Rice was 420, Egg 220 and with other little ingredients, my 1K started to struggle.

Back in 2015, My two pals and I will buy Spaghetti of 120, 3 Eggs of 90, groundnut oil and tin tomato and make Jollof at the cost of around 400.

But N1000 now is struggling to cook a Basic Oil Rice!

So I ask, HOW ARE YOUNG MARRIED GUYS COPING IN THIS ECONOMY?
I asked my friend and he said 'Na God dey run am'.

Don't depend on salary. As Bob Marley would say, "some people has means and ways". New challenges everyday. If you plan, you can go outside and hear that inflation or fuel hike has totally condemned your budget. So each day you just 'fight', meet your obligations and do the same the next day.

I always greet my married friends with the hail rankadaidai (they think am kidding, they don't know it is real respect).

As someone said. It is unrealistic to think you would cook rice with 1k. Even stew for one adult for 2 day (assuming you already have oil at home) is about 2k if you eat 011 or 101 (and I buy directly from subsistent farmers, sometimes right in front of their home).

Infact, you could use 1K to eat Morning and Night food in a Buka as at 2019, 2020!

It was the Stress of getting home to fetch money and coming back again that made me try to Manage the 1K.

The distance from the Market stalls to my house is very far and it was already about 7:40,8pm.

Oh! I understand where you coming from now. It's all love from here though. I also look at guys that start earning small money going into building a family, instead building up themselves first because at the end of the day your later moment in life matters more to yourself and people than earlier moments so why dragging yourself back with responsibility of a family when you aren't stable yet.
